I bought the falcon 40 which Ir thought was a pretty basic beginning heli. So far I haven't really been able to fly it all that well. Have only broke the landing gear and one of the main rotors. Replacement parts are cheap but maybe there is another heli that is easier to fly co axil?

To stay under 200 and to be stable outdoor. I would say it is possible but you'll lose a lot more money than you expect.
HBK2 is a perfect one but you'll need main motor and esc before it craps out.
HBCP i heard it has bad main and tail motor so I think you're supposed to change them too.
I own Belt-Cp and HBK2. I find HBK2 a lot more easier to learn on. I suppose it is easier to learn on smaller ones.
You could try HBFP if you usually get calm weather. ask Nuttcaze about flight quality of HBFP outdoor. That heli is just around 100 dollars and its parts are really cheap.

Im new to the helicopter seen and just purchased a blade cx 2. Its rite at 200 and is a great bird to learn on. The only drawback is it cant be flown in any wind or youll be back to the LHS.(found that out the hard way). Overall the parts are cheap and the experience is a blast. Good luck!!!

welll belt-cp is a little over kill but it's got really good performance. (I've got mine right on 190 dollars USD with shipping included) I could hover in pretty hard wind [hard enough to knock my transmitter down when i had it standing on a table.] and I'm only a beginner.
but it's all up to you. Right now, with my beltcp im happiest i can be as a beginner
Make sure that you read feedbacks on blade cx before you buy it. I didn't buy that one as a beginner because not many people liked it over belt-cp or even hbk2.

co-axial helis are great for just having fun in the house, they are super stable but get pretty boring after a while. a lot of ppl end up investing more into it thinking they can get it flying better but it's just not worth it. use it to learn on (if you go that route) replace the parts as needed, then when you've learned as much as possible from it move on to a single rotor. You can find CX2's out there that are worth $500.

you also CANNOT fly the cx2 outdoors in any kind of wind. if you search enough you'll find guys that have LOST their co-axials outside because the wind picked it up and flew it 100 feet away into the trees. the thing is only 12" long and weights next to nothing.

I second what Druss had to say. I took my co axil out in what I thought was no breeze but once I got it forty feet up there was wind and I was freaking. Nothing I did made it want to return so I reduced the trottle and hoped for the best. It came down alright a little on the hard side but with only a blade change I had it back to flying in a matter of minutes

unless you want to buy used you're probably looking at something in the .30 size. you can probably find a used raptor .50 or trex 600n for around that amount.

you may come accross a good deal lik eme if you surf around the net.
I've got my used HBK2 for 125 and motor for 20 and battery for 30. That's way under 200 and a good heli too. Except because it was used, it had have some pieces replaced.

You may want to stay away from used if you don't have any experience in building and/or repairing.

I wouldn't really buy the coaxiles costing around 200 dollars when black hawk and raptor cost around 220.... That's why I skipped right to the single rotor.
