Any body knows how to get an extension for a Concept 60. The cone started is in the tail end of the heli. I would like to convert it to a streight shaft that fits my x-cell ballbearing extension rod. I am putting a Sky Sport canopy on it and I can not reach the starter cone. :Any suggestions?

Furyflyer2, you must have got a bad one. Its no way that should have happened even if your engine was loaded up, that starter shouldnt have broke. What kinda field battery are you using? Daz...

I'm using a 12v 3A gel cell battery. It did turn it over until it over heated up, it must of had a weak wire in the armature.

Well guys, my magnum starter died on me today, I dont know why, it was working fine, then nothing. I will send this puppy back to magnum, and see what they will do. Its been working fine since I had it, and maybe the life of this starter is not what we as modelers would think it would be, so if they dont replace it, naturally I will be through with this starter. I was using the std. field battery, and I did stall it for a quick second or two with the YS80 but that shouldnt have been a problem. Daz...

5 gal ? thats quite a bit !
I do have to say, i have an engine that is even more of a *&#%$ to start .. its a RB Concepts .21 buggy engine that puts out over 3HP. When new, i had a hard time cranking it with a wrench with the plug off !! had to turn it over about 1000 times before the starter box would actually turn it ... so looking at the YS80 ...
it could be worse

>Hi, I bought a Magnum starter from you about 3 weeks ago. It died after only 5 uses. I would like to know where to return it for a replacement ... There are several other modelers who are also having the same problem with these starters ..

Hey guys, I've been using my backup starter on my YS80 since my Magnum starter died, its been working great, its a Kevan low geared starter, and it has been holding up very well without burning up. Here is the link if interested. Daz...

Furyflyer2, I deserve that. I was a little skeptical about posting this one because of my other recommendation, but come on you gotta admit, the magnum was a great starter, but then you never really got to try yours since it died on the 1st day.
But this Kevan has been working great, sometimes it gets a little hot if you keep turning it under high torque conditions, but its not burning up. Daz...

When I get my Magnum back, thats if they replace it, I'm gonna give it another chance. I really dont know what made it burn up but I believe it has something to do with the this magnum using a wand under high torque conditions. I had started up all my planes, including a couple with OS160's and it always worked fine. There are some other guys using it at the field with airplanes only, and they have had no problems. When I get it back, I may just make it an airplane starter, and keep the Kevan reserved for my Freya. Daz...

.... I hope it was just defective , I have to send it back and try again.
