When I setup the control arm for the throttle, I had to program in reversing the servo in order for the servo arm to throw in the correct direction. According to the manual "As the throttle stick is moved from the low position to the high position, pushrod B moves backwards as the servo turns counter clockwise".
Is this correct? I could not get the arm to go in the correct direction according to the illustration unless I did this.

Can't say, as you dont mention what model. But all of that verbage should be ignored. All that matters is that you determine which way the throttle arm has to move to open and close the carb. Then with the trims at middle, make sure that when stick is all the way up the throttle is full open, and when all the way down it is ALMOST closed (idle speed). Then make sure that when the stick is at 1/2, the throttle arm is approximatly 1/2 as well and the linkrod forms as close to a 90 angle as possible with both the servo and throttle arms.
There is alot more to it, but if you can obtain this much you are well on your way.

The Heli is a Century Sport Hawk, if that makes a difference.

The instructions tell you that the servo should be connected to the throttle arm such that the mid-position of the throttle is at 50% throttle. The full and minimum throttle positions are dictated by the implementation of the carb. It's simple enough to reverse the throttle servo from the transmitter, but you must arrange things such that the carb is closed when the throttle stick is closest to you, and the carb is fully open when the throttle stick is in the position farthest from you when the transmitter is setting on the table. Do you still have any questions?
