Default rx & tx battery maintenance

Im using the battery charger that came with my JR 9303 to charge my Tx & Rx batteries.
Im in Chicago and the weather has been for sh##.I foresee long periods of the batteries laying around, charged.I want to be able to re-cycle them(y'know, discharge, recharge)
WHo sells a good battery charger, recycler?
Thanks
Joe

I use the Accucyle Elite, either that or the Triton are excellent. I believe the Accucycle can do two at once vice one for the Triton but I'm not certain. Its got settings for nicad/nimh/li-po and li-ion as well.

I use the [link=http://www.hobby-warehouse.com/cicynibama.html]Cirrus Cycle Pro[/link], it works good but the only down fall is you can't charge lithiums, it only chargers/cycles Nicad and NiMh.

For Tx you might consider switching to NiMH. They don't need cycling and don't have memory effect (reducing capacity when battery not fully cycled)

For NiCad packs, if you drain them before storage they should keep fine

NIMH's self-discharge much faster than NICD though. They need to be peaked, even if left over night, which can kind of suck. I've had NIMH's lose 20% of their charge just from sitting over night

I think NICD would be a better way to go for a receiver battery. Besides, the only way you'd develop memory on a modern NICD cell is if you managed to discharge it to the exact same point over and over and then charge it again. Memory really isn't an issue with modern NICD cells anymore. It's an old tale that seems to persist even though it's no longer a threat.

Also, ALL cells should be cycled once in a while. Constant charging and discharging will imbalance individual cells. Fully discharging and slowly re-charging the cells will re-balance the pack. For the best performance and life from your batteries, you should cycle them every once in awhile, nicd and nimh both.
