I have a problem with a voyager e the heli lifts from the ground and about 30 seconds into a hover the tail apears to be moving up and down violently to the point were I have to bring it down asap. I have checked the pitch it is -5 +8 +12 as per the manual the throttle curve is ok also I have checked everthing that I could think of and have not solved the problem. Am I missing something? Any advise would help. I am not new to helis although this is my first electric and I have not encountered thi problem before.

I am not sure what you mean by crank it up a bit, I have the throtlle set at 0 low 80 half and 100 full trottle. if you try to go to full throttle that is where the problem is.

If you hover at half stick, decrease the pitch at halfstick a little so it will require a little more headspeed to lift off. Do you have a Headspeed tach? When i first started with the V-E, I was using the stock setup(motor/ESC) on 8cells. Never had a problem with harming the ESC, until I pluged the charger into the ESC. I let the smoke out of that ESC. Later went to Hacker B40-8L on one and B40-7L on the other.(Had 2 V-Es) Even with the upgraded motor and ESC I knew it was time to land when the batteries got low and the wobbles started. WLJ

I think that the problem may be in the ESC as you have tto go to 100% throttle in order for the heli to lift, if I am lucky it will come up about2 feet intill the battery comes down. Also it seems to eat batterys real fast about 2 minutes. I am using 7 cell 3000mah batterys and get the same results out of all four batterys.

I don't have a V-E manual right now, but the pitchs seem a bit high. I think you will find quite a bit of difference if you decrease your pitches first (-2,+6,+10) with 7cells. The biggest difference will be going to 8cells with the stock setup. I've got an extra stock motor and a NIB Stock ESC, I'll let you have at a really good price should you need one. Stock motors burn brushes so bad. Did you buy this setup new? WLJ

I did buy the set up new and as I suspected the esc was bad , as far as the pitch settings the manual say -3 + 8-9 + 12. with the new esc it has a lot more power and now wants to lift easily how ever I have to hold full right rudder and the rtudder stii goes right. I dont seem to have rooom to adjust the travel. I am using a futaba 240 hh gyro so I have been told not to use the revo mix, did you use revo mix and if so about how much.
