Can anyone tell me why my Raptor 30 throws tail blade grips off.
Makes for a pretty spectacular crash, something like Black Hawk Down.
The aluminum hub always has striped threads.
Any info will be appreciated.

I have had them throw the blades on mine. The tail hub was stripped too. I found that I had over tightened the set screw and stripped the threads. I started to go easy on the set screws and use blue lock tite. If I remeber right the JR fits and so does the one for the Nexus. Then there is the QWW tail set.

How loose are your tail rotor blades in the grips? I've set mine so that they are almost loose enough so that they will slip down when held level. If they are really tight, then you can partially strip or weaken the bolts that hold the grips on when your blades hit some grass. If you fly off of a grass field, hitting the grass is going to happen no matter what. Your blades shouldn't hit the ground itself though.

It was an eye opener when those little blades went flying and the heli started to shake, rattle and roll. I was lucky because I was close to the ground and it just bounced. I replaced everything at the end of the tail boom.
