............The servo horn is facing up, do I move it one whole up or one whole down?

you're kidding right? moving it in is always toward the servo regardless of which way the horn is pointing...........

There is a very long thread on these gyro's at RC Groups. They cover everything about them. I reqd that one first. They also have a list of servo that work well with this gyro.
I ordered two of them from chchelicopter.com before the ones at deal extreme showed up. I tried every servo I have and I could not get the gyro to not drift. I tried it on 3 different helicopters with 4 different servos. It drifted, very, very slowly but it drifted.
I check my setups and went over the helicopters with a fine tooth comb looking for any vibrations. Nope. No matter what I did they drifted. Well I got pi$$ed and ordered 2 of the Logitch 2100T and 3100G combos for $110.00 each. They work great.
A friend of mine had me put his EXI 450 together. Well he had some funky clone of a telebee that work about as good as your thumb does. I pulled it and put on the G401B and it worked just perfect. No drift and holds like velcro. He has a INO llabs high speed digital servo. Look like the G401B and that servo like each other.
I still have 1 on the shelf. I may order a Hyperion servo or see what I can come up with using the servo I have. This gyro seems to like high speed servo in the .07 to .05 speed servos. The faster the better.

The best rated servo is the Hyperion 09. It seems to work the best. It runs about $34.00. there is a GWS servo that works too. I just do not know the number.

the silicone will add too much weight on the tail!
its going to throw your whole balance on the heli off.
</p>just kidding....couldnt help myself.

Hey guys I have the G401b gyro from DX on my Frankenstein HK-450 got a Little video of it in action with the Hyperion DS-12GCP servo (.06 speed @6v .08 @ 4.8v) from AlleRC.com... Its a little bigger than the hyperion DS-09 but it also has more torque and can handle more volts (6v vs the 5.5v from the sub-micro DS-09)... They cost the same and I think the DS-12 is more suited for a 450 size heli, its actually a heli tail servo...
I also have the G401b from XMseller, they work the same...
OH yeah, I also tried the GWS HPX Park F servo and even though its analog its a good budget tail servo for someone who is starting and is only doing hovering flips and circuits, I didn't do any super 3d with it (I've only been flying helis for 2 months!)
