Default Murphy's laws for RC

Let's put in this thread all the Murphy's laws that apply for RC hobbists! I'll start with:

-While you're flying, the trims will reduce its size twice at least, while the on/off switch gets bigger and bigger each time.

-When there's an funfly, children will move from point A to point B through your new scale model, the 900$ transmitter and your own feet. If the children manages somehow to avoid one of this items, the father of the child will step on them while running after his son shouting "be careful".

- A good landing is a when the model is still similar to how it was before taking off. An excellent one is when the model can take off again the same day.

- The probability of destroying a new model is proportional to the time, the money and the efforts invested.

-If a model flies and lands OK, it will get broken during transportation. If not, it will fall off the shelf/support where you store it.

-There's no need to put the model nose up to check the engine doesn't quit before flying. Its too obvious it will stall while you're hovering 1.5 high.

-"Hey watch this" is a statement that is followed without exception by a plane crash, damage to people or properties (usually your best friend's car).

-When there's an accident, the one that tells you "I knew it was going to happen" is usually the guy who flies a trainer full of patches and has to ask someone's help to land his plane.

Also:

The likelihood of adverse weather conditions and/or a crash on the first flight of the day is directly proportional to the number of flight battery packs pre-charged upon arrival at the field.

The one screw that vibrates loose is the one you do NOT have a spare of.

The odds of an airplane landing wheels side up are directly proportional to the cost of the model.

The moment you claim "I've never crashed a plane.... yet.", you do.

All RC radio equipment is made with smoke in it. If you let the smoke out it will not work again.

The best flying plane is also the worst looking one

If there is a tree within 1 mile of the flying field your plane will land in it at less once.

The time that the bottom of your flight box would fall out is when you are holding it directly over your plane.

Barometric pressure decreases in proportion to the amount of work left to be done on the new airplane. (Delivery day, sunny and warm; ready to fly- tornadoes)

Wind gusts increase as fuel level decreases.

Takeoffs are optional, landings are mandatory.

It seems every time some one says " this will be the last flight for today" the plane takes it just as that and pulls a ugly manuver into the ground.

well i'll step in for us guys who have our feet on the ground:

The only time you have any control over the car is when you are holding it all other times it can choose when it will keep radio contact

little kids do not know how to drive rc cars

the jump is always too big

"i meant to do that" is just a precursor to it happening again but even worse

The most reliable plane that you have will not run if you don't bring a back-up.

Expiration is proportional to how much you like the plane ( the more you like it the sooner it dies).

two new ones
-The mixture in the propelling device (engines) will always be incorrectly adjusted while hovering one foot off the ground
- When an event is planned, 30mph+ winds are mandatory

Another one for the ground guys:

Your failsafe fails at wide open throttle just before the 40 foot quad and your 1/8 buggy flys right off the track.

All radio hits happen at WOT before the boards!!

I will not rain unless your plane is in the air.

The weeds at the end of the field suddenly grow taller when you are landing.

setting your plane under your hood to charge the flight pack ,will cause the springs on the hood to weaken ,

If you build in extra supports the plane will break directly in front of or behind the added support.
