You have gas pump kero?!?! I'm sure it's fine, and I'm jealous!

In my area Kero at the pump is always available for under $4.00/gallon. I stop on the way to the field and fill up.

Almost no one in the UK (Europe too I think) runs diesel.
The flame out point is how dirty it can be. Algae too. I’ve seen fuel that’s been through filters and a paper pleated MAP pick up is black with debris. Since i only take the owners word that it been properly filtered I can’t say otherwise.

I used to run kero from the pump in all my engines. Now that I have three KingTechs and they recommend diesel I have switched all of my engines to it. Plus, I always wondered how long the pump Kero was in the station tank. At one station, not my normal one, the attendant didn't even know how to turn on the kero pump. I'm going to run diesel another season and check all my filters etc. and evaluate whether to continue.

The diesel in Europe is probably much more dirty, because I haven’t found anything in my filters and I run 100% diesel...because it’s easy to get, were I get it from is also a full blown truck stop by the highway...very popular place, on the road I get only what I need to get through the even....

Must be a northern states thing. I've never seen Kero at the pump here in southern AZ. At Home Depot, it's $11/gal. If I could find it at a pump for the $4/gal area, I'd switch in a heartbeat, as it's less smokey and the mix ratio is easier(quart of oil per 5 gal).

Just passing this on, I recently learned this bag would work on the UF and it does fit nicely.....

It's the big one and it's a little long but still fits the whole wing depth. https://www.horizonhobby.com/wgt111

Yes they do, and I have some for my Havoc SS, but this plane won't see a trailer. The Flash will just ride in my car and I only wanted a little more protection and ease over the stock foil ones. Just passing along what I learned for others that may not want to spend $200 on bags.... BUT, thanks for bashing my bags and my offer to pass it on by letting me know there are better ones out there! At least that is how that post came across.... anyway, have a nice day.

You too, I was just crabby I guess.

I gave a good option to which you immediately replied that there is a better option--and you are right I do agree. I see both sides and I apologize for my comments.

I'm with you. I'd have a hard time spending any money on bags if my jet already came with something. But if I do I'd lean toward the HH option just because it doesn't hurt the wallet so much.
*Edit:
Actually, I assume the size 3 bag from revoc would be the right size? It's only $88US. Plus shipping, of course.

You'd need size 4 with is about $170 USD shipped. Great bag I'm sure and if you do more that put in a car probably worth it. You need that 24" high or the center section won't fit....

Make some out of moving blankets from harbor freight - you can double layer for extra protection if needed
That's what I did , $10 dollar wing bags

Did you order yours factory direct, or buy it off someone? Evo?
Mine should be in a container on its way to the states this week.

Nice! Keep the pics and progress coming. What's going to be pushing it through the skies?
haven't even received mine yet and already contemplating another Carf order. In the grand scheme of things, Comp Arf provides some of the highest quality aircraft money can buy, and in a reasonable timeframe thatwe can rely on. I was honestly expecting to add a month to my previous order. It arrived exactly when Ray said it would. In 30 years in the industry, this was a first for me!

Will do. It will be a bit as I am finishing another project. I have a K140 for it. Yes, at a quick glance, the quality looks great and Ray was great to deal with. CARF seems to have this figured out and works to a schedule. I have not even had a chance to finish unpacking, but am very happy with what I have seen so far

Hi guys,
I have a question re turbine choice.
After a longer break from Jet flying I am planning to get my Ultra Flash out of storage and ready again.
I have to get a turbine and was wondering whether the JetsMunt VT90 would be enough for flying from grass (about 100m long).
Cheers, Ulrich
