Todd,

don't hesitate to put BIGGER vids, if your storage space is large enough...

Happy to Oblige . Have no doubt once you install the 8611's the mirage will feel much better. Try using some smaller guage nylon coated pull-pull cable on the NG, that might help the centering on it. Double check the CG as well, the model felt tail heavy and I would venture to guess that since no reflex was required for level flight that some nose weight is needed. Use the old hanging method with a plub-bob to check it!

Strykaas,

Just got the new digital video cam for myself as an early x-mas present, still learning how to get the video converted properly. I'll redo it tonight and see if I can improve the quality.

ORIGINAL: BirdofpraY

I made my own FOD guard, took only minutes to do. soon to install the turbine by this weekend.

make sure to glue the frayed ends of the metal wires together ! you do not want to have your FOD guard becoming the FOD. Someone had a FOD screen shed a few wires and did pretty bad damage to the engine ..

best regards,

Voy

Dave

Don't know if your kit is still the same as the original, but a very worth while change is to permanently join the wing and make a new joint aft of each main retract. This way the retracts remain with the fuselage and you don't have to undo the retract air cylinder every time you take off the wing. It also make for easy transporting and storage as the jet will have 3 wheels to stand on.

Also, check the leading edge joint as the original had a habit of opening up with disastrous consequences. This is easily done in conjunction with the wing joining change.

Enjoy, it's an awesome jet once you've ironed out all the little in perfections.

Cheers
