For those interested here are some pictures of the small molded FEJ Viper S tanks. Each tank holds 1300mls.

Also the Skymaster Viper 2.0m kevlar main tank together with the two FEJ tanks.

Plan to run the FEJ Viper S tanks in parallel into the kevlar main tank, then into the UAT.

Hello , I use self sealing festo valve to connect and disconnect the hydraulic system between the wings and the fusolage. If you don't want to use the Festo valve you can try specific valves produced by Eurokit in Lucca. Best regards

Hi enrico63,
Are these zero loss disconnects so you don't have to bleed the system everytime you remove the wing?

David Jackson has the large Viper.I met him in Kentucky at the show last week(really nice guy).maybe we can get hime to post some pic's of his fuel system.Hey David are you reading this?
Frank,

There are five fuel tanks plus a uat installed in my Viper. The upper two fuel tanks (upper tanks held in place by former visible in pic # 3)are connected in parallel and flow into the bottom left tank. Bottom left tank flows to bottom right and from there to the main forward tank. I'm sure there's a better way, but this works for me. Don't have the exact capacity of all fuel tanks combined, but my guess is approximately 160 oz. Hope to get the exact amount in a couple of days.[8D]

Yes those valves are not zero loose but self sealing . You must put 2 valves for each tube and a small piece of tube between the valves. So when you disconnect the wings you have only to leave the tube between valves and there is no leacl because the valves automatically close at tube disconnecting. THe valves name is QSK 4 or QSKK 4 for the wall mounted valves. I will post a pic later. regards

No flights with the Mammoth yet. FYI, I just noticed that my Viper wingtube slides completely into one wing half. There doesn't appear to any structure in either wing section to prevent this. This may not be a problem, but I will consider a way to prevent the wingtube from moving once the wing halves are attached to the fuse. [8D]

Frank,

I had a ECU problem that has been corrected with Eric's help. Planning to attend JWM this weekend, if I don't go and the weather permits, I might get some flying done with the Viper.

Hey Frank,

ECU has been replaced and a solution for the wingtube was found. I gotten a bit off track as I spend the past few weeks getting a large F-4u ready for its maiden flight. That out of the way now, so looking forward to next week to get back to the kero burners. [8D]

Glad you will soon have your Viper. FYI, with the five fuel tanks in my Viper, the total fuel capacity is 208 ounces (minus the UAT).[8D]
