On board volt meter - small, light and cheap
Hey guys,
Check these out, i think they would make a great on board volt meter (small 43mm long and 13g weight) for our jet batteries:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-Red-LED-Vol...item2a05538010
Similar units in the hobby world sell for 25$ + shipping, and these are 9$ shipped.
Enjoy !

More stuff to fit in................ Not a bad find though but dont you think we should be trying to take stuff out of our jets not putting it in.
Simple and light thats what I like

Every componenet of our jet had its adcantafes and disadvantages - of course its something that could go bad (although probably unlikely) but it also gives you 100% battery monitoring. its your choice - thas the fun thing about this hobby. just thought i'd sahre the face you can buy a 9$ unit which is much nicer than the 25$+ units.
\
BTW you could always wire up a proper connector to this unit and use it as a no load external voltage tester.

No problem with you shareing. The item might be for some just not for me. It is also true that a bad battery can give a good volt reading that just goes when it is under load. So in some ways this could be a good thing if you move sever servos when you reaad it

This unit looks identical to the i4c C-Volt meter that came with their Servo Power Regulator, ideal on a small jet where you don't have a Powerbox or switch installed.
Dennis, you really need to build lighter mate

Just a comment it the other direction. I would have thought people would be big enough to accept that. You obviously seem to have a problem with people seeing another side........... Chill

The TattleTale is a tiny and lightweight device that plugs into a empty receiver channel (or through a Y-cable). This device measures the input voltage and displays the lowest voltage threshold that was captured after being powered on. With a programmable acquisition time of 10ms to 100ms, even the shortest voltage sags can be detected!
This is super small and gives alot of infromation. I have found this very helpful with my jets and planes

At 1.75 grams, some may be against the high wing loading, 'extra baggage' their extremely heavy jets have to carry. Check the density altitude at your field before using these products. [8D]
