Default HotSpot pics needed

Anyone have pics of their hotspot installation? Also need pics of what you did to hold canopy to fuse?

Ouch! What turbine did you have in it? Let me know when you go through it and decide what you're gonna do with the extra parts that made it

I had a Mercury in it that was turned up to 152,000. The HotSpot was a rocket. Amazingly the turbine and ECU survived. I always wrap it in heavy foam. I had 3 Dudro tanks, 1 50oz and 2 24oz on either side, plus a 6 oz header in front of the main tank.

No Parts survived, what do you need?

What Servos did you guys use for the elevons? Will Jr 4721 be enough for the flying surfaces or do I need to go higher torque? I was gonna use two for each.

hs 5645mg have litle more gear gap...so if you run one per aileron (two aileron in one wing) is not good idea...two per wing with one aileron on the wing is better cause while maching you can reduse gear slop.. but use 100% end points so you wont kill your servo torque

..i just like overkill and see servos as future investment so since i fly with a p160 and my hotspot is not "stock" i have twin hs7955tg per wing (one aileron per wing) and feed them with a PowerBox Evolution.

I like the idea of just having one airlieron. Unfortunatley I bought the airplane built and in primer and this one has split elevator and ailerons.

Anything is possible but the problem I see is that I would still need two servos for each because the glue joint would prob not be as strong even if it glassed over. I might just an whole new aileron. Was just trying to avoid that.

For the people that use the split elevator and ailerons, do you actually use "separate" elevator and ailerons or use the two serrate peices as elevons and have them split for redundancy? I dont know if I explained it correctly. :-)

I don't have a hotspot, but do have a CARF Rookie witch is similar, most that have combined the four elevons together seem to put a piano wire rod in the TE of the surface and Hysol them together, personally I have kept them separate and powered each of the four with Hitec 7955's as also the full vectored thrust tube.

Hope that helps a bit.

Mike
