Default turbine electric generator

anybody have any ideas on how to mate an electric generator to a (twin) turbine so it will produce at least 12 volts, the turbines in queston will be kingtech K80F's in a 1/10 scale F-15E, I'm trying to keep the battries to a minimum, it's going to have a FPV camera sys wich is 12V, a reciever wich will be 6V and the engine batteries which are 7.4V, I would rather have a generator and use 3 voltage regulators than have 3 seperate batteries. I was thinking of converting the starting moters into starter/generators would that be possable? thanks

No, the motors disengage from the turbine after starting. In order for them to be generators, you'd have to have motors that could withstand spinning at 120,000 RPM or so. That is not possible without active lubrication.

Why not use one battery with two, or three, regulators?

Also, two 20 lb thrust turbines in a 1/10th scale model? That's a lot more thrust than you need for an F-15 of that size. One K80 should almost be enough for that model...

The only on board generators I have heard of are on Bobs p200 drone motors. Very nice setup. Scotty

redesign the bearing tunnel behind the front bearing to hold a brushless motor magnet on the shaft and enlarge the bearing tunnel to hold the windings.. presto... all the power you want, may be even too much, then use that as the starter also, but that takes a fair bit of electronic expertise.

taking apart brushless moters sounds allitle too advanced for me, lol, I was wondering, if I take apart a 5" glow DF (what's already in the fuselage) and use the fan on a shaft with a generator attached in front of the turbine, will the suction from the turbine spin it fast enough to produce power, without putting too much of a restriction on the turbine? also the reason I'm going so big is it is already built W/ 2 seized .91 DF engines (the engines are completly seized up, some not so smart person ground off all the cooling fins from the head so it would fit enclosed in the fuse)with all the ducting already installed, ( I bought it off E-bay) so I need to use a twin turbine setup, or ells I'd completly have to re-design all the fuslage formers, plus I like the Idea of have a twin. The wings, stab(I only have one, the other is warped beyond use) and the rudder are currently foam core sheeted in balsa with monokote covering, my plan is to make a mold and re-do them in carbon fiber being that I recently learned how to vaccume bag, and it seems easaly doable, and would result in a lighter, stronger structure.

it's going to have a FPV camera sys wich is 12V,

I don't want to take the wind out of your sails, but Turbines and FPV is a big No-No.

.... just a common on-board camera is OK though.

If you are taking energy from the turbine to generate electricity, either by sucking a DF fan, or by converting the starter motor, you will lose a lot of power out of that turbine.....ask anyone who has had a hung starter motor.
It is far cheaper, easier, and less complicated to use a battery. How many mAH does the camera need..... a small 3 cell lipo should run it for awhile.....
