Dave did you ever find a stronger spring for the main gear?

No, it’s still flying as it was.

Flaps measured tip end TE 20mm take off and 72mm landing. on take off no elevator, on landing 3% down.

Balance range seems huge, all the fuel is in front of the balance, so it gets lighter in the tail as it burns fuel. I always land with some in the front tank, so I'd balance it with the front tank 3/4 full, I can fly over 10 minutes with my throttle use and only be using a small amount of the front tank, but I do a lot of low power off passes, it has great energy retention. Flying it like a sports jet you will be 9 minutes and wanting to land I guess.
My balance with the front tank 3/4 full is 15mm forward of the fuselage split line. There is a line of rivets running out the wing and its in front of these.

Hey Dave, am setting up my Mig and when going back to CG, I notice you say 15mm in front of split. That puts your CG30mm in front of where my original was. Just double checking as that's good bit difference. Mine was extremely light on the nose, so am thinking if your handled well with that much more forward of a CG maybe it wont be as light and I wont need any weight in the nose as I did to get the 145mm I was set on. Appreciate your feedback.

It is nose heavy for pure flying, but like you say it won’t taxi in a cross wind with the balance further back, the small tail needs to work, so the nose heavy set up worked fine for a consistent feel in pitch.
