Jetcat 180RX

I haven't measured the thrust of mine but I definately notice the increase in power over the 160.
Just an update on the ECU situation - Both Mark and myself have received the new ecus and we will report back after the weekend.
Geoff.

Hi to all,
I just recieved my two 140 RX's , which trere going to be instulled in an A/D SU-27.
From the top, I want to thank Bob and his crew for the service and the quick turn around.
So, after all of you giving your comments , I decided to test bench the engines.
Here are the #'s.
Idle to max, in 4.5 seconds.
Max thrust at 123.000 RPM , 36 lbs , alt, 640 feet from sea level.
I personaly have no complains, VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.
My friend, maybe will post the video on U tube.( Look for it).

Great to hear. But, just to be clear, we're talking about the 180RX here. The 140RX doesn't have the same issue.
From what Udo and co are saying the bigger 180 will have the same numbers you're seeing.

Hi all,
I just received a P180RX, which looks great, however the manual I got was in German. Does anyone have or know where you can get a PDF of the English version. I've scoured the web and cant find one anywhere.
Thanks in advance,

OK, not flying until tomorrow but grabbed 5mins in the fading light to run the new ECU mapping.
Oh my God - what an improvement!! Quicker than a 160SX I reckon. Idle to full power was 3.9s, from just above idle to full was around 3s. Quick opening/shutting from various rpms showed no signs of faltering or overrunning etc
Looking forward to flying it now!
Well done JetCat. You got there in the end. Going to be a cracking engine I think
Rgds,
Mark

Thats reallly good to hear Mark.
I wimped out today and haven't even stepped out of my house cos its a bit cold[&o] I doubt I will get out tomorrow either. Those acceleration figures sound good and are at least the equal of the 160sx.
Geoff.

I noticed the GSU doing some updating when I first switched on and I saw it saying V10.1.
I have to be honest and say I didn't see what the version was with the original ECU. May have been V10.0 - can't say 100%. Sorry.
BUT, irrespective of that, you'll know immediately if you have the old ECU LOL. They should then simply swap it for you.
I'm sure JetCat dealers will be able to offer a little more clarity in the next few days to those purchasing engines.
Rgds,
Mark

Thanks. That sounds good. All the ads for the engine I have seen all say the ECU version is 10.0, so you see 10.1 is something to look for when I purchase the engine.
