Roy thanks for your advice. Finally can post some pictures. This is my HE 162. As I shared with you, renamed the model to "Emily" for my dog who died while I was finishing the kit.
Hope it flies as good as yours. I did install non scale vortex generators to increase lift and limit tip stall potential. Will give it the maiden, God permit, when the Covic19 lockdown is ended in Puerto Rico.

Have you measured where your cg is since your last post?
I'm building a Maissinger HE162 (I bought a second hand kit without the instructions)
Reading this thread I calculated the factory C. G. IS approximately 22% (95mm) which I find very nose heavy.. Even if the plane is stated to fly well this way.
I was about to set the C. G at 30% (classic cg for conventional configuration planes) which gives approx 130mm...
I've always flown my planes with aft C. G....

i have built several of these and each had no instructions. This thread by Roy is your best info on the build. How far along on the build are you? Both Roy and myself started out with a 100mm from LE back cg with the gear up. The cg swings to nose heavy when the gear come back down. Depending on the main gear struts wheels and brakes weight it will be about a 20mm difference.A club member friend of mine was sure the jet was too nose heavy at the factory cg but i was very cautious. I was running out of elev and having trouble flairing on landing unless i kept up a higher approach speed. I started removing nose weight about 3oz at a time and ended up being comfy with the same 100mm cg but gear down. The jet flys fine this way and flairs for landing easier. One interesting note is during the takeoff roll you MUST hold full up elev until the jet gets airborne then start easing off the elev as she climbs out.

Yes Vin is correct, something else very important. Both Vin and I have warped composite wings. I suspect Peter’s molds warped over time. Be sure to check wing incidence at tips before maiden. Adjust ailerons so wing incidence the same. Will require quite a bit of trim but the model doesn’t know it when flying.
Very important to have takeoff flaps and hold full elevator during takeoff roll to unweight nose wheel. As soon as model comes off the ground put gear up. The main gear doors are like giant rudders.

Excellent photos posted by Roy. You can see the large amount of elev required for flairing. The several other models i built, the one I’m flying now and Roy’s they all required a fair amount of left ail trim for level flight. Your wing may or may not have this warp but be ready for it on your maiden.btw Roy you lucky dog...taking off on pavement and landing on nice soft grass. I’m jealous!!

Vincent at the moment I still have a lot to do on my plane.. Gears are installed (electron retracts)
​​​​​Wing fixing has been made with dowels at the leading edge and screws at the trailing edge. The engine nacelle has been made detachable for easier transport purposes. Horizontal stab is also attached with dowels and screws.
These days I'm working on the rudders articulations and attachment (I'll keep them glued in place.)

I'll post photos later

Ailerons 10mm up. 10mm down

elevator 30mm up, 30mm down

rudder 25mm right, 25 mm left

CG 100mm from wing leading edge with gear up.

remember to hold full elevator during take off roll
