Jeremy, if you buy the Ecolume globes, make sure you get the COOL WHITE ones as they are a lot whiter and brighter than the WARM WHITE type.

Thanks Aussie, I'm going to head down to my local and see if they have some in stock. I'm going to try and fit them to my Euro. Also need some of their Aluminium tape to enhance my AB rings in my Euro exhaust cones

BTW check out this light a mate put on his avanti nose leg, looks really cool. He got this one from Super Cheap Auto

That looks really nice! I bought a similar one at Jaycars, but it's only 24 lumens. BTW, nice looking field you have there and you have given me a brilliant idea! I'm going to mount the light in this photo on the Excalibur nose leg and maybe run it through a micro switch, so that it turns off when the gear is up.I must admit, I enjoy messing around with stuff like this.

After looking at mounting options for a centre light, I ended up putting it just forward of the nose leg, onto the bottom of the fuselage. I now have a total of 240 lumens of light for a total cost of $35. This compares very favorably with some commercial systems costing $150 plus. This jet is perfect for lights due to its design. The lights will draw approximately 300 milliamps off a 3S LiPo battery, and I can now remove the lead in the nose, replaced by the battery.

I just grabbed one of these

http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/onl...om=40104#Cross

It's very bright, I was going to mount it on the nose leg of my Gryphon Evo but it is all to tight and not enough room with the er-40's to run cable so it might go on the Euro. Jaycar were closed but I like your nose light setup, That would work on the EVO.

Are you bringing it to Temora in September? I'll have the EVO there and maybe the Euro

I have applied for time off covering Temora, so if approved, I will be there. I was there last year and it's a great event. I will be interested to see how you go mounting that light and what you think of it.

Just back from a weekend in Aberdeen (Scotland) while there I managed to test fly R3's P-100 JR XG-11 Xcalibur and help Paul B with some more flights on his P-60 powered example. Good day on Saturday, quiet site and good wind direction meant we managed quite a few flights including Billy completing some solo flights and declaring himself happy with the beast.

Drive back today was a mare with multiple accidents making it a long day!

And what servo's you are using, Hitec have much longer leads than Futaba and JR.

Short trip to the field this am to get some shots for a magazine review, while there I had a flight with Colin C's Xcalibur (P-100Rx-darkside radio) before watching him through a near perfect flight.

Default Warning

going over the model tonight for the weekend , noticed the flap was not sitting quite in place so looked into the matter and noticed that the flap hinges have become unstuck
just a small pull on the flap and all 3 hinges came out of the flap

I pulled at 2 out of the 3 hinges in the body too, and not too much needed to get them out

pics attached ,

will be cleaning out the epoxy and rehinging with hysol

Yes. You can get it either from us Global Jet Club as we are the distributor for this jet. You can also get it from our dealer Dreamworks

Just making up the Elevator, clipped the clevis in place and it failed.

Just a word of warning to check and double check your clevis parts in the kit and make sure they don't come apart. This would have ended up in a right mess !

Cheers

We have seen one other example of possible issues, Ripmax are aware and one of the team is at the factory now and this is on the list to discus. For now they are sourcing European (German) clevis to include with kits, I already have some we ordered from MPX and I'm now including with all kits we are selling.
None of our flying aeroplanes have experienced any problems so far, it seems the pin breaks away with any twisting during . Its worth people looking over their clevis to ensure the pin and pad are secure.

Default electron retracts

I have been working close with Xoel from Electron Retracts in Spain to make a compatible set of retracts for the Xcalibur as I really wanted to go electric
we have finally finished and the struts are sized to match now
the machinery is superb

pictures attached
I have flown the model with the retracts and all I can say what a pleasure , the retracts work flawlessly ,and the nice part is I don't need to bring a compressor

using a 750mah pack, and after 4 flights and probably 6-8 retraction cycles only used 80mah
also worth noting is that the brakes is proportional as you can set the percentage of brake pressure via your tx, and I use a delay , so when I press brake switch , the brake pressure goes from very light pressure to full pressure as I set, with a delay , so that I cannot lock the brakes and no skidding

my hats of to Electron for a great product !!!!!!!!

thanks Electron and Xoel
