Ok so yes Bob this is the fox valley club ,and the arf is very old at least 6-7 years this is the older no honeycomb structure, and I will try flaps for sure but need to change something in my radio setting and maybe going to install a gyro ,the landing gears working ok never have a problem with them but last flight they closed half way I have some problems with the rx so I re bind the rx like 4 times and forget to add air to the tanks ,thanks David for checking out and support

I spoke with Patti about doing a JL PNP F35 while at SJS. Discussed the big wing C and the AF A would be easy to do with some scale liberties. She was not aware of the potential market of the F35. She was going to meet with the JL guys soon and said she would discuss it with them. I told her if they got it right they would sell a boat load of them.

Jet legend as we know already have a developed and sorted F35 from before they bought an interest in BVM, see my post early for an example in this thread.
I've owned this one for a number of years and it fly's very well as long as you stay away from cheapo "Specy" R/C.
As far as I am aware I have the only one in here in the UK perhaps the whole of Europe, Im not sure if any at all were bought by you guys in the USA.
Its hard wear and U/C is well sorted and mine flew very well with no bad habits other than a trim issue caused by the single large door on the nose gear, I resolve that by splitting it into two halves.

I ended up with a jetelegend F-35 kit wich is as rare as chicken tooth at my place.. it is likely to do the maiden flight on it soon, but I am not sure of some things I decided like:
1) using flaps at takeoff, a la F18 to smooth out the takeoff rotation.
2) using just tailerons, and aleirons only as flaps.
3) cg placement.
Eventually I will change the paint scheme on it, to the scale gray ghost instead of the non scale "edwards" scheme, wich is best for long range visibility...anyway I will post my impressions here as soon as I do the test flight.

And this is the cockpit so far.. some polyestirene sheet, $5 action figure, a sliced ping pong ball and a assortment of mundane eveyday things. If the first flights go well, I will improve it.

Not really sure why you would need to go to tailerons. If you have flaperons already there, by all means why not use them?

Some eons ago, I did some setup experiments with a 1/8 scale F16 , and tried a normal setup with no flaps, normal+flaperons, flaperons+elevons and just flaps and elevons.. the later was the one that worked best for me.
As the F-35 has about the same wing/elevator platform then I will start this way...

Make sure that you split the front gear door to two ,the one will work like a big rudder in front , and I’m using delta for the back as a elevons and regular ailerons on the wings, but just recently I changed the wings surfaces to flaperones and going to try the flaps in flight and takeoff
