Hi. Looking for some information. I bought a used 1/6 bvm f16 version 2 and I didn't get the manual...

Anyone know..

Is there a manual online and is there anywhere that shows the different versions?

What each component is under the canopy and what the ports are that are unplugged?

What the recommended throws are for all of the surfaces?

The distance between the turbine and bell on the thrust tube?

Is everyone using the pulse batteries? Curious about other options as pulse only has a 1c charge rate

Do the batteries mount in front of the receiver normally?

Thinking about getting the foam cradle for transportation. Is it strong enough for the trailer?

Thanks

BVM does not put any manuals online, but you can order one. My airplane and manual are at the other house so I can't help you with the other questions, sorry.

Some aircraft are mounting batts in nose cone. Mine are just forward of the controller beneath the cockpit. My cg is still 1 inch forward of the recommended cg at 10.5 inches aft of the fuselage break. 1 inch or there about is usually the turbine tail end to thrust tube ball park distance.

BVM provides paper templets for setting up the surface deflections and flap in the manual, these are very handy for setting up the airplane! CG is already marked on the side of the fuse at the wing root, If you place your turbine battery and both flight packs in the nose, you will be slightly nose heavy and perfectly safe for a maiden flight. Congrats on the new plane, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Guys, I just looked for a buddy...my xicoy cg number is 88mm fwd of the main gear and after 90 flights I’m real happy. I think the stock markings is around 110mm fwd (so I’m roughly an inch aft of that)

Test flew mine yesterday. The CG was at the recommended point and I felt it was nose heavy. Long takeoff roll and jumped into the air. I will move the CG back 1/2" prior to the next flight. Weight 32.4# dry with a Cheeta 160SE. Ran both main tanks and 1 smoke tank for fuel. Flew for 6 minutes with one main tank still having fuel at landing.

I moved my CG to 1/2" behind mark and will see how that goes. All tanks for fuel for my fire breathing Pegasus HP.
35.5 with full uat and carrying some goodies on the wings.

After over 2 years of owning mine, I finally maidened it yesterday and all I can say is wow! A few clicks of up trim and she was flying hands off. K160 provides plenty of power...this jet is fast and flies on rails. I too think mine is nose heavy as per manual so I started removing nose ballast. Can't believe I procrastinated this long.

Congrats! I have sellers remorse after parting with my 1/6th earlier this spring.

Hey fellow BVM F16 fliers! I'm new to this forum and new to scale flying. I've always been a mid sized sport flyer Rebel, Ultra Flash and T1, and all my buddies have been after me to expand my fleet to include scale. I've been anti scale for so long, just never been bit by that bug. Well I finally crossed over to the scale side and got myself a 1/6th F16. Today I finished setup, my friend Eric helped me with throws on high/med/low rates and expo yesterday, today I finished with tidying up the wires and mounting batteries. Monday September 17th is the planned maiden day and to join the scale crowd. I wanted to get it ready by the ultimate event, Best In The West 2018, by then I should have a few flights with it under my belt. While I must admit I was VERY skeptical at first, just having it sit in my garage playing with the lights and the gear up/down, and just how cool it looks sitting there has me very excited to fly it. Of course I'll be nervous for the 1st flight, but I will have some great help standing with me. From what I've read so far, this should be a non-event, just another day at the office. A very big shout out to BVM customer service!!! Thank you BVM for the time spent on the phone, even after hours to answer questions. I will report back after the maiden!!!

good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow.

Tom

Hey guys- ive been scaling out my F-16 and shes getting ready for a military paint job. I made cad files of all the reinforcement plates with rivets- laser cut and laser riveted. Modeled after yours truly crawling around on the full scale with tape measure in hand! Includes beef up plates for the top of the wing as well! $38 shipped for 1/6th scale, PM me if interested.

Default How does flight behavior affect when assembling all artillery And what is the best te

Hello happy holidays first!

I recently released my F-16 1/6 JL / BVM, saying that it is my first model and for now it only has 6 flights and delighted with it and still taking sensations. I fly without a gyroscope, without flaps and with the CG recommended by the manufacturer.
My idea is to put all the artillery to run and I have other jets and wanted to know before doing so as it influences the flight of the model with model airplanes who have already done so. I would also like to dirty it a bit, to give it a more realistic look if it can be but I don't know what is the best technique and paint to do it.

I await your advice!

I leave you a video that a friend of the Club filmed me the other day.

Thank you very much and happy flights!

The ordinance will move the CG back so you will need to check the cg. Other wise I like the way it flies better with ordinance. Slows down allot better.

this plane while needs no gyro it sure does fly better with it like all planes. I recommend you give it a try.

I will check the CG when I put the artillery even though with the electronic CG meter of the Wizzard brand it did not vary with it or as I carry it now.

Thanks mate!

Hi

I know this is an old thread, but how is everyone? I'm working on one of these (1/6) and I'm curious if I'm the only one that modified the missile rails to droop at the front like the FS? The look of those rails parallel to the long axis of the plane is look I couldn't get over. This is a sweet ARF!

It should be 3 degrees down... everything under the wings hangs 3dg down...
It looks super... as it should be..

I made that change on mine. One of the first things I did, that and fixing the seat/pilot position. Great airplane.

Nice aggressor scheme - I have the same one on a 1/7th scale F-15.

Sean,

What did you change on the seat?
