Hello companions of flight!

I am going to tell them what is happening to me with the turbines Jetcat a today and in which I am defrauded enough and disappointed by the prestige that I was thinking that I had the brand especially in reliability. First it was my P-20SX, after being in I fly slightly more than three minutes it stopped and with a lot of luck I could land without doing an any scratch to the plane. Not this way the turbine, which dismounted on the back part as vé in the photos that I attach!

Then immediately afterwards my P100RX, after taking off alone when it was taking approximately 15 meters of height stopped of equal way and of miracle I could land breaking the train and with a small blow in the tail and scratches in the plane. The turbine like enclosure in the photos seems to have been destroyed enough after the stop.

Our track is paved as a road, the fuel that I use and that we use all the members of the club is a paraffin for stove that we buy in a mall, the oil of turbine that I use and use in the club that of the brand is BP and also I use the additive of jetcat antistatically. And to alone today have had problems I and another partner with stops of his turbine but without break of a P-140RX, the only ones that we use Jetcat.

To give more information, I will say that the P-20SX only had 5 hours of use and two years of bought new for me with my invoice and the P-100RX 8 hours and little with three years of bought by new me also with my invoice.
The P20SX a few friends of the club who were present at the JetPower 2015 took her in hand to the event and she was gathered and then at par of weeks zero sent me arranged to cost for my happiness. Then I sent the P-100RX in the same box that came from factory to the direction that they gave to me of Germany for e-mail and my surprise was to see the response then at par of weeks.

They ask for 1000 me € for the repair, which they can understand my disappointment but which I have chosen an expensive hobby and which there are people who enclosed has had losses total of planes, which surely there went away a part of the wheel of the compressor and to these revolutions of the engine it caused more hurts!
To part of that the response of which if I have chosen an expensive hobby it looks like to me an inappropriate response, a jeer and I ask myself.
Is it out of the guarantee that a piece deteriorates with 8 hours of use with a correct use? Where they are 25 hours of maintenance?

Certainly I have refused to his repair and have requested that return it to me and a today I continue hoping from December that I come near.

Sorry for your troubles, but I can't understand what problems you are having.

Flameouts after a few hours of use?

So Tenerife is Humid (been there...), was it very hot? hot and humid translates to high density altitude, which not many engines like....

If it is 1000 euro totally for repair of two engines in that condition it is an good offer.
They are out of warranty but still they gave you an good offer.

But it is not funny with a day like that.

The P20 when it broke down at the end of year had less than two years and 5 hours of functioning. This one zero repaired me to cost I suppose because it was in two years and they admitted that it was a failure of the engine.
The P100 was three years old and only 8 hours of functioning and for this one it is 1000€ for the one that ask me, vé that since good-bye spends of two years to the guarantee and I was thinking that the guarantee they are two years or 25 hours as long as it is a mechanical failure and not an evil I use ours that they on having dismantled the turbine know.

I am angered because I think it that I have been two times on the verge of remaining without my two jets without I to have blame of the stops of the turbines and I do not see well that want to receive from me 1000 € with only 8 hours while other partners of the club overcome 10 hours and more of use with other brands and zero problems!

Ah, the pics tell the story.

The compressor blades (on both of your engines) disintegrated?

And since you have pics of a FOD screen, it was not external FOD that caused the failure?

Yup, I'd be "angered" too.

Exact Ravill in both turbines I use the Fod as vé in the photos! What strange object did not enter and less still in the air that it were where the stops took place!

Did you buy both turbines new? Looking at P-20 serial No it looks like a 2013 turbine. When was the P-100Rx made? JetCat offer a 3 year warrantee, I have seen turbines that have only run 2 hours in the 3 years, the warrantee is not hours, its years. Its hard, but they cannot be expected to make the warrantee 4 years or 5 years, just because its not used! Actually I have seen its worse for possible problems little use, bearings can stick with no use, then they slide for the first part of the early re runs...then later bearing failure. Bearing O ring mounts can perish and then like you have the compressor touches.

For sure posting on RCU does little to make them be sympathetic!

No one in this hobby likes anyone in the 'jet family' to have down time and problems, but some things are unavoidable.

If Dave the P20 is of 2013 bought new for my to Tamjets together with improvements for habu32. The failure took place at the beginning of September, 2015 and it was doing two years at the end of 2015, I possess the original invoice that was sent together with the turbine for his repair to the jet power 2015 as already I commented previously.
I bought the representative the P100 first hand for me in Spain of jetcat that is in Mallorca and also I sent together with the turbine to the direction that they gave to me in Germany the original invoice with date of purchase of 2012 (3ańos) with freightages paid for me 11/11/2015.
Spent almost two weeks said to me that the repair was costing 1000 € and that certainly it did not agree in taking up office I requested that they were returning it to me but a today still I continue waiting for her!

Dave here in our club is in the habit of blowing very much of the wind and we cannot demolish everything what we wanted and also there are turbines of other brands with fewer hours that mine and I repeat zero problems.
I agree in assuming the cost of the repair for a break or evil use me but it is not what has happened.

How long would a turbine need to lay unused , for the bearings to become a possible problem ?

Depends how they are stored and what oil they were run on to a degree.
Layed up turbines, I store standing on the tailcone vertically. In models this is not ideal, but without turning at all I guess 12-18 months

Since to the end already I have again in my power the P100RX without repairing certainly. Now my intention in selling it for the one that wants to assume the repair of 900 €, which is interested I am ready to listen to offers for private or better to my e-mail [email protected]
