Mike i hope you really fly the hell out of her, according to all the people on here and carf reps like Thomas Singer, she is a big kitty cat in the air....All my friends at Florida jets really enjoyed watching her in the air...you have a show stopper heading in your direction.

Thank you so much for making this experience pleasant. Oh and just for info, if you ever needed any jets or warbirds painted, i'll be more than happy to paint them for you for free...just pay the material needed for the job....

thanks again and i hope to see you one day while on vacation in Washington, so i can take her for a spin....
I still have those purple palm tree's and grass you were asking, for your wife...lol

Hi Jose

Watch what you are offering Mike. A 40' container of planes might start heading your way for painting. I even might drop in an F86.

So I looked at the CARF website and the cockpit kit... YUCK. Those of you who have completed, did you modify it? It doesn't come painted correct? $600 for a bunch of vacuum formed pieces... :-(

The Big blue SU-27 has a new home... it arrived in perfect condition and looks about ten times better in real life. Jose, you are an artist! I can't wait to get to work on this thing!

All I can say is that if I would have had it if I would have seen it in person. At least now Mike has it and we get to see it fly.

First of two Canard SU-30's arrived at my shop today. Painted in the Indian display scheme, Tim went for all the CARF extras on paint, weathering and heat affect. Looks amazing

2 x P-140Rxi and vector tubes heading for this one. JR 28X, JR servos except MKS rudder and PB Royal SRS

Well, a couple weeks back I finally maiden my Russian Thunder Scheme Sukhoi 27, it just needed a couple clicks on the elevator (little nose heavy) and that was it, it flights great as all my CARF planes, it floats on landings, tracks great, handles wind like no other (no gyro connected yet) and the thrust vectoring is really fun.
Mine has 2 Kt 160's G2 wish are great on power and vertical climbs, most of the flight is done at half thrust, JR8711 and MKS 6625's on rudder, has 2 1200cc extra round fuel tanks from FCT wich give me 8 minutes of flight time plus another 1200cc as reserve unilight light system PwrBox Royal etc... just waiting for my Tailored custom pilot from Wilson in a couple weeks
Here is a picture from last weekend, you can find some more at

Anyone know of any detailed build logs with linkage/servo/interior installation pics? Even if it's just pics on a Facebook page?

I was hoping I'd get to examine them up close at Kentucky Jets, but they were not in attendance.

Specifically, Comp ARF states to use aluminum arms only in specified lengths AND to use the supplied clevises as they don't leave room for ball link hardware. But damned if I can't find aluminum horns that check all those boxes at the same time (aluminum, proper length, non-threaded clevis pin holes). Will be using Futaba servos.

I have the manual, that's why I referenced the CARF specs on specified arm lengths and requirements. The manual makes no mention of which servos they use nor which arms they use (arms that are aluminum but not threaded to play well with pin clevises are not easy to come by). It does look apparent that the wing servos have arms that were cut down and new holes drilled though. I would just be interested to see which specific servos and horns other builders have used is all.

I've since found that SWB does make an arm that I think will work, should be able to cut these down as needed:

http://www.swbmfg.com/futaba-1-1-4-h...16-thru-holes/

But even still, I like looking at build pictures. Figured with as many as have been flying there would be more pics of specific installs/layouts/etc.

The ones I have been involved with are all JR. 8921HV and 6311HV on one and 8911 and 6311 on another.
JR arms and Intairco arms.
