I'm not a huge fan of digital camos on A10 but the amount of work you have put together on your model is just impressive !
And the magic happen when you first put the plane in one piece and staying on its LG.
Brilliant work Rav !

I've been working on that since a few "hours"
So let me share with you my model of an AN/AA28, the gimbal is working and there is an onboard camera with a video transmitter.
Got the video stream on my FPV goggles. Might be fun in flight !

Jim! That looks really awesome! Take some one along for a ride!
Well, it’s camo, it’s supposed to be hard to see?! LOL (nervous chuckle...)
Frankly, I hate grey airplanes because they are hard to see and the mibos that are painted in grey (most of them) are actually easy to see in the sky. So, we’ll see. I can keep it close. And that’s why I’m adding some ordinance (yes, I maiden w ordinance on) and if it is impossible to see, I’ll add some invasion stripes! Ha!
I’m just starting with the install process. I’ve got a few goodies.... ;-)

I didn't want to really do a lot of weathering, so I asked him to look at other methods that don't require the heavy weathering methods I saw in some YouTube videos.
He starts with the plane already painted and using clear coated (matte). The he uses an airbrush with very diluted (think 1:1) black base-coat paint and apply it to the panel line or rivet. Then uses some kind of pad over what he just painted. See photos.

First let me re-state that I don't have the ability to do this. My friend is doing the build and painting...

Another solution for doing the panel lines without doing an entire wash on the machine is to use the Panel Line Wash solution from various brands in the plastic modeling world.
Basically it is a diluted wash that you can apply in the recesses with a small brush and really easy to remove on the panels with kitchen paper or towels.
Your solution is also nice but I don't like to sand the plane if not needed.
I will try to post a picture of the PWL that I'm using.
Hello Ravill,
That's a brilliant idea ! But I think Maxotronic already offer a fake GAU8 ?
I was thinking about such gun a few years ago when I got my A10 but I was wondering how to get the effect visible and hearable from a distance with the turbines running loudly ...
But I like it !
