Default Booma RC with Core

answer was they would be more than happy to but Powerbox is not supportive. So use SBus I guess.

P.B. have simply locked out Advanced radio / Boom RC because they are upset their monopoly has been challenged by a better products at better prices.

Default Jump box setup ideas

Would like some input on how to achieve the following : I am building a parachute jump box for my C47 that will eject 4 paratroopers out in sequence, approx. 1 second apart.
So basically the function will have 5 servos; the first opens the door, and the other 4 servos release the spring loaded paratroopers in sequence about 1 second apart.
I am thinking the gear door sequencer section of the Core could be used to achieve this ?
Would like opinions and input please-
PS- I know how to do it "old school" with micro switches, but I think it can be done in a cleaner way using the powerful Core software-
Thanks in advance for your help-
Mike O.

Yes, the sequencer is the right way.

I don't see why that can't be achieved. Each sequencer can support 6 servos so it should be pretty easy to set that up with some tinkering.

That sounds like a cool project, hope you post some pics.

Default PowerBox & PowerBox Rx mounts

Any aware of a US reseller of https://www.stv-tech.com/index.php?language=en mounts or an alternative? Love their stuff but international shipping sucks.

Hi everyone,
just gone over to PowerboxCore radio, I fly F5J electric launched gliders . Any info on setting up ailerons and flaps for multiple modes would be appreciated. I have managed to set up all the flight mode switching but just cannot see how to set the phase off sets.

….and now PowerBox have released their own new servo. I servo 5, P2 bus compatible.
powerful, 38kg/cm., fast , all metal case similar to MKS. Brushless, too. Reasonably priced for a top quality servo.
Looks, good, very, very good !

Two are on order for a full description and operational experience in RCJI

I wonder what the amp draw at idle is? I have some MKS 380's that look like this and they draw 400 ma at idle. I have 8 of them in a Mephisto. It eats power just sitting there.

The idle current, no load, as measured on a Hangar 9 meter
at 6 volts is 04 amps.
400 ma at idle suggests you have some very serious control restrictions.
I have just set up an AW Sea Fury with 15 servos, including landing gear doors and I have got the total current down to 1.3 amps.
Servos are Savox1256, JR 8931s and Ditex. Etc.

This was with no servos hooked to anything. It was measured through a Powerbox Competition SR2, and maybe it was 04 amp and not 400 ma, that could be my poor conversion

The first 20 minutes exploring these servos was highly impressive.
Tightest gears I have ever experienced, even on some very fine servos, and with a large amount of very valuable data via P2 bus facility.,… and NO servo buzz, just a slight hum when delivering high torque !
Idle current , no load, .04 amps.
Absolutely superb devices, will be using a lot more of them with my Core.

For the much lower $ you can get the same servo the MKS550 or the PB for a premium price for a lower price servo with telemetry only for the PB …..so go buy them big fellow LOL

Look like a poor imitation of the DITEX servo…..
