With the new arrival of the SABAvio Lizard Jet this Winter, we at HeliDirect start working on the EDF version Lizard as we have time. Still a couple of month before weather will be good enough to fly. We will post here our building progress as we go.
Here are some info about the new Lizard EDF Jet:
Technical Specifications:
Wing Span: 1380mm (54.3")
Length: 1550mm (61")
Dry RTF Weight: 5.8Kg - 6.5Kg / 12.3 lbs. - 14.5 lbs. (Dependent Upon Equipment Used)
Fuel Tank Capacity: 2 Liters (0.52 Gallons)
EDF Requirements:
(1) 100mm - 120mm EDF
(1) 160A - 200A ESC
(1) 12S 5000mAh LiPo Battery
Turbine Requirements:
(1) 4.5Kg - 12Kg Turbine
(1) Turbine Conversion Kit

In today build, we decided to move the EDF unit and ESC forward as far as possible to help with CG, also made up a thrust tube to get exhaust out to clean air. Getting closer, only working on it as we have time during the day. The turbine version is progressing nicely also and will be ready soon as well!
