Default Quick Connectors for Fueling

Hi,
My P130-Rx came with a quick coupler for fueling the airplane. Where can I get more? Dreamworks seems to be out and this seems like something that is available for other markets. My Google searches has found anything in model airplane sizes. There are a bunch of cool ones for the petroleum industry.

Here are the ones I use. Similar to the Jersey Modeler type.

I hate fuel dripping when removing the fuel line, so I will give these a try, thanks Gary.

Its a Festo part, but I still prefer an aluminium bung that cannot stick open!

I am using the simplest set up. My Jersey Modeler came with a brass probe for filling. I insert it in the Tygon fill line. If I am careful fill can be without drips. But once the probe popped out and I was pumping fuel on the ground as I fumbled for the off switch. And another time, when I pull the probe from the fill line, fuel started to squirt out of the tank, even though the line was higher.
The Kent System connectors will solve these issues and I will have a plug in the fill line. Thanks Viper.

I just have a long length of Tygon on the filler, fold the end to kink before disconnecting the fuel filler line, I barely get a drip.

When I had trouble sourcing Festos from the normal sources I went to Amazon. There, it is about the same price to buy 10 as to buy 2. I have extra caps and couplings now for a lifetime.
I currently have my fuel pump strapped to my field tank(2.5 gal) connected to large fuel can barbs from Dreamworks. The setup I currently use starts; large filtered clunk in can, 6mm Tygon to fuel barb mounted in can as a bulkhead fitting, to the pump, from the pump a 6mm Tygon line long enough to reach the fueling location, a 6mm Festo style coupling, then to a 4" length of 6mm Tygon connected to the vent nipple in the fuel can. Makes a closed circuit, and if the pump is accidently activated dumps the fuel back into the can.
Material list:
Home Depot 2.5 gall poly pro fuel can, fuel can bulkhead vent and through barbs from your favorite supplier , fuel pump, about four feet of 6mm Tygon, a 6mm coupling and a 6mm cap. The Tygon from the pump to vent coupling length I currently have is about 2 feet which is enough to keep the fuel can out of the way of servicing the plane.
I don't have a problem with the fill line blowing off with this setup, and removing the coupling from the vent line to attach it to the plane filler line leaves the fuel can vented so I can't forget to do that. No drips anywhere with this setup.
I also keep a rag handy, but haven't needed it since this setup.

Hey Gary, quick question. In the thread where you show the pictures of your setup with the connectors, is the white cap that goes on after fueling is done an airtight seal as well? That is, the ball valve should be airtight so is the cap an extra measure of sealing the tube to the UAT? Thanks.

I noticed the connectors on my Jersey Modeler fuel system are made by Kent Systems. I wonder if they are the same family (Collection 4) that Viper recommended.

I checked. The answer is yes.

Double O-rings (white) on cap.

I blew into the blue fitting and the ball valve in the closed position prevented any air from passing through.

So there is a double seal to the air trap tank with the blue ball valve and then the white cap with double O-rings.

You can feel the O-rings against the blue receiver fitting as it goes in before you twist it closed.

Here is the list of parts that my flying buddy Tim gave me when he told me about the Kent Systems fittings last year. I don't know if these are the exact ones Jersey Modeler uses but they are similar. Kent Systems is familiar with RC use of their fittings and was very helpful when I called them for help.

Fuel receiver fitting in jet.

Receiver fitting on vent line back into fuel jug.

Cap on fuel fitting in jet.

Fuel fill fitting on fuel line out of jug to the jet. I also use one of these fittings with the ball valve removed as a return connection for overflow back into the fuel jug.

Overflow return back to jug

Ball valve removed for return fitting

I got my Kent parts this morning and for Jersey Modeler cans they use the same parts. all i need to to use is 006 and NH1 part and I'm good to go, they will attach to my in fuel line inside the jet.

The white connector unscrews and fits into 006 part, the N01 is just the cap you will use. Just need to make sure its airtight which I will check later.
