I’m refurbishing one of these that was acquired without gear doors fitted.
The outer main gear door is opened and closed by a link to the gear oleo. Manual shows a pic with the retract half removed and the link connected to the oleo and the door but the angle the pic is shot at doesn’t show how this link is attached to the oleo.
Would be grateful if someone with one of these could explain how it is attached? Is the oleo drilled and tapped to take the ball link or some other method? Would also like to know the height up from the hinge line to the attachment point on the outer door?

Look up a build thread here by Major Woody. Very extensive. Among other things you’ll see that the inner doors are a problem in that the actuator geometry is bad, leading to a lack of enough leverage to hold the door closed in flight.
