Default Jetcat V2.00 ECU

I read on RCU that there are some interference issues with the V2.00 ECU for Jetcat P80 engines.

I am interested to know if anyone has had (or witnessed) any problems with these. Am I safe to use it or am I going to have to fork out for a new ECU?

Thanks

I am using a V2.0 ECU with a Jetcat 120 and have had no problems with it. Mine is mounted in a hotspot and I have managed to keep a good 6" between the Rx and the ECu. As an extra precaution I decided to run all turbine wiring down one side o the fuzz and all servo wirng down the other side, so far so good.

As you are in the UK you will be on 35 mhz which the V2 ecu does not normally effect. It`s when you fly on 72 mhz nasty things can and have happened.

Thanks guys. That is good news.

One other question. The Kangaroo manual shows the fuel pump mounted right next to the ECU on a mounting plate. Are there no problems with putting them this close together?

All of the above comments are excellent, but I would suggest you do a good range check to be sure. Get a baseline distance with the ECU unplugged, then do a range check with the turbine running ultimately at full power. If you measure 20% or less reduction in baseline distance your OK. Any more than a 20% range reduction is an indication your RF link is getting pounded.....
