I am writing this thread on behalf of the Joe Sera of NY.
Something smells in Denmark!!!
Year ago Joe Sera purchased Simjet 2300 trough Planes Plus.
The engine was DOA. When it was sent to Simjet for a firs repair, it came back OK besides wet start that could not be fixed.
Yearly 2002 Joe has contacted Simjet with a request of an upgrade of the engine and it was granted to him by the owner of Simjet at Florida Jets 2002 event where swap to brand new 3000
at a charge of $300 took a place.
Joe with the help of Larse and Simjet reps has installed new engine into his bandit (27+ flights already). Larse tuned the engine down for the appropriate thrust and handed off to joe to do a test flight.
Right on the takeoff new engine seized and caused a crash.
After this, Larse has offered to fix the engine and stated that seize was not the cause of the crash. Joe is a very experienced and capable RC pilot which everybody that knows him will agree.
He has patiently dealt with Simjet and gave the engine to Larse to be fixed at the FJ2002.
Two weeks later he received the engine back. Lucky for him he was still working on his new bandit and he put repaired engine on a test bench and started. Engine run for a minute and then locked up again. At this point he called Simjet rep in U.S. John C. who requested engine to be sent to him for a test. Same day Joe has sent engine to John who, once received engine, verified that engine locks up after it's started. John C. Did few more tests and then sent the engine to Denmark. After that point John C. was no longer Simjet Rep.
Joe has asked me to help him in this situation. Him and I have called Larse, who said to both of us that he felt very sorry for Joe and he promised that he was going to send a new engine to Joe ASAP. Few days after Joe has called him to verify the tracking number and Larse asked him if the call was regarding thanking him about such a quick turn around for a new engine. In reply Joe has informed him that engine has not arrived yet and Larse assured him of a next few day arrival. Week after we have initiated another call where Larse has denied everything said above and stated that it was all mix up and he was going to send engine immediately.
Week after another call was initiated by both of us. Larse was busy so we talked to Live. Who also got everything mixed up....
After 20 min call ... He cleared up everything and said engine was going to be sent to Joe after he paid $300 bill... Joe immediately went to post office and send Simjet $300, which was received in two day and deposited and cleared by the end of that week.
Following Monday we have called again and talked to Live who assured us that engine was en-route to Joe. Week after another call was made and we spoke to Live again who claimed that because of this and that he could not send engine until day before the call. We patiently waited and two weeks after made another call where Live gave Routing number of some logistics company that could not be traced. I in the beginning of the call informed him that the conversation would be recorded and he on the record gave us the tracking number of the company "CARYON" #cc297910529dk and he stated that package was on the way...
I have spent hours on the phone trying to locate the CARYON to track the shipment. Unsuccessful!!!
Yesterday, week after we were given tracking number, Joe spoke to Live who denied everything without any explanation. Joe still does not have an idea what is going on with his engine...
Today 6/21/02, four plus month after Florida Jets, Joe has no engine, no hope and no plane because of Simjet.
I bring this to all of you to you help Joe Sera fighting group of noncommittal individuals who wrongfully hold his engine and Joe's hobby as a hostage.

After reading this post and Simjet rep "hooked" post in the Simjet turbine support section, http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...27&forumid=168 along with several e-mails exchanged between Simjet owners and myself I think it is safe to say that the Simjet guys in Denmark do not come out as a very honorable bunch.
What is it that makes it so hard for them to understand that the fastes way out of this hobby is to be a constant liar.
Proluck, hooked and all you other guys with Simjet problems should get together ad sue them. I live in Germany and would love to support any action agains them. Not only do they advertise and sell products that does not exist, but they also have a history of lying about shipments and deliveries, plus a very sad record of reliability and support. Any Simjet owner who would like to work out a possible lawsuit, please PM me so we can get something started. At least a full refund should be possible.
Maybe even the US distributors would be interested in joining. I can't beleive that they would want to stick with a company who constantly screws their customerss

Proluck,
Have you discussed this situation with Great Northern or any of the current US reps/distributors? I know from experience that dealing with the manufacturer can be difficult at best. My suggestion would be to pick up the phone and call Ed or Kevin at GN models, they would be able to resolve you issue much faster than yourself trying to deal with Simjet directly. Lets not forget here, Jetcat had (apperantly still does) the same problems when trying to deal direct, that is why we look to our US distributors/Reps for support. BTW, it is Lief and Lars at simjet, not sure who live is??

Jetcat does not need advertisement.
They've been great team. Always helpful and do not employee any liars!!! Bob, Justin, Matt or anybody in Germany doing everything possible, so owners of their product can enjoy their hobby.
Granted, every manufacturer has some delivery or any other problems, but not like this. This is not a problem, this is a dissaster!!!
There is one resolution to this. Get Joe Sera his engine back or a full refund.
Sounds simple???

Proluck,
Why did the owner of the Simjet not go back to Planes Plus, after all thats where he bought the Simjet in the first place. Let them handle it.
With all these posts and other stories i have heard, makes we wonder will ever buy a simjet, and they where 1st on my list.
Very disappointing to hear this between you and Hooked who i see is a Simjet rep, i once had great hopes of good service and reliable engine.

Hmm,
first you theaten to sue Tam and half the jet community for painting a model with a flippin car logo and now you want us to weight in on litigation against an off-shore turbine company! Trying to start another sh-t storm no-doubt or drum up some litigation work.
There are three sides to every story and while there very well may be "something rotten in Denmark" I like to hear it from someone I trust and respect in the jet community.

Proluck,
As I stated earlier, instead of posting unsubstatiated information and getting nowhere with your above flaming post, why not do the benificial thing and call the US Distributor/Rep??
You completely missed my point above, dealing with Jetcat direct can be difficult but it is a pure pleasure to deal with Jetcat USA. The same goes for Great Northern, they will get your problem resolved faster than you can get tam to repaint that hotspot in Lamborghini colors. I have dealt with both SimJet and Great northern and I can tell you that I have been frustated at times with Denmark but Ed and Kevin have always been strait shooters and got the problem resolved ASAP.

Guys,
As far as I know RCU is a forum so anybody can state anything...
I always stick to the truth!!!
I never wanted to sue anybody either!!!
All I did is state facts...
You are the ones who ellaborate/speculate....
Back to Joe's issue:
He will contact US/CAN reps and willtry to resolve it.
P.S. Planes Plus sold a product to Joe and delivery was made as promissed. Since Planes Plus is no more a Simjet Rep, Joe has no reason to bother Doug.

"This is not a threat this is business and I mean it."

Better keep your story straight.

RCU is not a forum where anybody can state anything. We have rules and limits as to what is allowed! You claim your not a liar but yet you came to this board with your rediculous posts that you would sue, sue, sue if anyone used your "Ferrari Scheme". Then you try to worm your way out by saying the following...
"All of you guys are great.
The greatest thread ever.
IT SERVED THE PURPOSE!!!!!
1. I promissed Tam that I would give him more business, and I did.
Tam You are the man!!!
2. I promissed Ferrari that 30%+ jets would be painted in their colors with Ferrari decals.
3. Go Promark!!!"
Your story sounds a bit off as well.....This problem is not between you and Simjet, It is between Joe Serras and Simjet. Lets keep it that way!

Tod ,
I never used word "SUE" in any of my posts.
I never called anybody liar either unless facts did not support it.
You calling me a liar and I never promissedyou of anything...
You do not even know me...
My posts were all correct and are representing facts only.
If this is between Joe and Simjet, why make a big deal what was between Tam and myself?????

Proluck,
You should consider lurking for a while longer.....like maybe the next couple of years until everyone here forgets who you are. You made a fool of yourself with the Ferrari post....which I might add was rather ammusing, of course if you want to keep posting we can all use the entertainment.
As far as the Simjet problem why don't you contact the GNM dudes for your buddy and let them help get it resolved.....or use some of those hundreds of thousands that you claimed to have spent on the Ferrari deal to buy your buddy a dependable JetCat.
David Reid
