Gary,
The nose wheel and doors set up is very easy.
Bellow is a diagram I made when building mine.
I went with Spring air 402, 85 degrees on mains and 90 degrees on nose.
I'm using that same radio, is excellent and cheap.
For my new Viper I'll use the Futaba's servos syncronizers, instead of Y harness at the elevators and flaps servos. Programing the radio is very easy....
For all the questions related to the turbine, lest way until you are closer to jump into those details....there is nothing to worried about.
P-160 for the F-18.
Regards,
Miguel

Sap,
Nice land scaping you got there! I guess your turbine takes a few second to cool down ...and you a couple of shots to warm up....even better!!!
Thanks, Miguel

I guess the scenery is as far away as possible from what you got over there in sunny Caribbean. Let's just say that cooling is not a problem here in the winter.
When it is really cold, some people bring with them hot water on a thermal bottle(?), and then pour it over the glow engines to get them to start more easily...[&:]

Beautiful field you have there, Miguel!

How about if we trade places the upcoming winter...? You can come over here and borrow my house, car and ViperJet...[:-] He**, you can even loan the girlfriend for a few weeks... In the mean time, I'll be down in the sunny Caribbean flying your Viper at that beautiful field of yours while drinking pinacoladas and long island ice tea's in the heat...

Gary,
I also would lean to the Viperjet if you want to go turbine. I also have a BVM .96 aermacchi which I flew before the Viperjet. I think the Viperjet is easier and more stable than the aermacchi. Landings are easier and smoother as well. Both jets fly really well slow and fast. The Viperjet is a big glider on landing it likes to keep going with that clean wing unlike the aermacchi which has to be slowed down a lot to keep from bouncing.
I built the nose gear door as well and have it on an air cylinder from Tam. Had 3 gear up landings from air leaking out of the BVM micro valve I had set up to retact the door after the gear. What a pain in the butt that has been> I have now purchased a Ultra Precision UP2 valve and it works flawlessly. I wish I would have known about that gadget from the beginning but it is a learning hobby. Get yourself one of the UP2 or 3 valves if you want to have the door sequence. It also runs the retracts all in one mechanical unit for $89.
It sounds like you are not in that much of a rush...if so wait and get one of the new ones from Tam.
Glad to answer any other questions you come up with.
If you want a Aermacchi with a brand new rebuilt BVM .96 and VioFan I will sell the one I have. I love my ViperJet now that I can use the brakes when the wheels come down
Also If you want smoke, Tam's smoke system is awesome two seconds of smoke on the ground will obscure a house!
Pretty simple to install and really makes the whole experience a blast flying.
All the best

Thanks for your support BC.
Anyways, the new Super Viper Jet is go to be a classic.
Everyone know how well the original kit fly. The Super Viper Jet is fly the same but alot stronger.
I'm schedule to visit the factory again in 7 weeks. My business there to do quality control and R&D for my new Jets that we introduce in the winter.
So best is to put your name on the lists for Super Viper Jet MK II.
We almost sold out this 50 kit shipment and it is not arrive yet.
Brg,
Tam

Sap,
Sound good to me, but I rather keep my girlfriend (as a matter of fact, my wife) and take her with me over there. She is something...[8D]

Tam,
Are there still going to be different colors? Last I saw, you wrote a blue and a yellow coming out as well as the original paint scheme. Please post some pictures if you have any. Also what kind of price increase over the original for the new kits?

This shipment is still original colour scheme.
After this 50 kits. We start on the next colour scheme.
I'm not sure if I allow to put the price here. So I'll send you the PM.
