I'm looking to get a Rookie
and want to know of the bad habits it may have, like weakness on the gear and body, which gear to get ( Robarts? ), and how about a P-70 for power, servos and all that.
Thank you in advance for all your replies.

I think you didn't get replies because there really isn't any bad tendencies. The only I can think of is the hop you will get if the plane isn't slowed down enough on landing.
The P-70 should do fine but will limit the 3-D flight and tumbles. All around it is a great plane, gently to fly and very fun with the thrust vectoring hooked up. You can't go wrong with this plane.

Yup!! Great airplane, and a real value for the money. The only thing I can think of after having 2 of them (and knowing of two others in the area) is that the main gear mounts need a little beefing up, and the space under the canopy is somewhat tight for equipment installation. Just can't beat the value or the performance. I've had a P120 on mine, and also a Simjet 3000 - very overpowered, but that's what the throttle stick is for. A P-70 should fly it fine and do about anything you've got nerve to do.
You won't go wrong with this bird - quick building and easy to fly - enjoy!!

Thank you Kenny, that is more or less what I'm looking for, something not to hot for the beginning, good flying characteristics and big to be able to see it.
Congratulations on the F-18's maiden flight in Fresno it was awesome.

go with the ROBARTS pass on the MM (comp ARF) gear
use the thrust vectoring

I agree with the above.
I think Graupner is selling the Harpoon, which is a Rookie with a different name. I am guessing though. It is an ARF and can be assembled very quickly. I just made the Elevons one and use one servo. I have had over 120 flights and no problems.

I have 5 flights on mine. Airplane is great, but, go with the robart gear. I'm slowly converting mine to robart. Lessons learned. I have 3/4 gallon of gas with a P80 and get 8-10 minute of flight. I made my own fuel tank with baffles, and have not experienced the hop at any speeds. One post mentioned space under the canopy. It is a little tight, but I even managed to fit in TAM's smoke system with tanks.
