Here are some new pics from our MIG 29. The model is flown with 2 x P60, from one of the best show pilots in germany. In the next days we get the undercarrige system ready.

"not really sure about the bottle "
additional fuel...plans called for a 1.8L and 2x .5L internal tanks.
not a lot if you were to install 2 Jetcat P-120
and he will need to install a firewall between the two turbines

C4F,
why do you need a firewall bw/t the turbines ? Safety ?

Hi,
the pic is from a very early prototyp. Now in the kit are all tanks inside the fuselage. Do you see the bottle on the flying pics? . So don't worry, it is a old photo and the Mig is now scale without a fanta bomb

Hi there,
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has built and flown this MIG-29, your thoughts, do's, don'ts etc would be very much appreciated.
Just about to start on my one, probably will go for 2 X P80's.....
Many thanks
Ken

In your opinion Ossie would a single turbine installation work with a dual pipe
or would it have to be slung underneath the fus between the two
engine nacelles

RE: NEW Mig 29, feedback please
Hi,
I've been lead to believe there are two versions, one for single turbine and the other for twins. The version I have and the others that I've seen are for a twin installation exactly as the first pic shows in this thread. I haven't seen the single version so I'd be only guessing as to its setup. To install a single turbine in the version I have, would require mounting the engine underneath between the nacelles as you have mentioned.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Ken

RE: NEW Mig 29, feedback please
Hi,
my last informations about the single engine installation is, that it is a lot of work, and that the distributor in Germany will not offer this version "prebuild". I.e. : no extra wood parts for this verison, as they promnised on the JETPOWER 2005.It´s your part to design everything, but they will help you!!
The kit was distributed a few years ago here in germany, but only three kits were sold. Now ist ´totally new designed, best quality, but I think still a lot of work.
Have a look on this webpage: www.powerflug.de
Mr Köhnen built one of the fomer versions and converted it to single installation.I saw this aircraft in flight last year, its fantastic, although the power could be a little more(bifurcated pipe!!)....he had some changes on the tailerons linkage: he mounted twu big "jumbo" servo just over the tailerons on the outside of the fins....not very scale.
I think this aircraft would be a compromise, if you want a MiG, and the CARF is too expensive for you.
But: you also have two pay two P80 (4000€)the kit(3300€) and RC(500-700€), total: 8000.-€
And it´s-in my opnion- a big differnence between the C ARF an this one. When you see the C ARF MiG, it´s only: WOW!!
It´s a 9/13 (notice the fuselage changes behind the cockpit area) , not so scale, not so big.....
The C ARF (9/12) is more expensive, ok, but I think it will be "only" 4-5K€ more, depend of the engine....and they have the gear now ready to run without a failure(see the HP).
I decided to save my money, until I am able to buy my ultimative dream, the C ARF MiG 29.
When you saw both aircraft side on side, you will decide for your love....not for an alternative!!
Have a nice day!
See the pictures from the last JETPOWER...
