ronnie and tommy, are you going to mississippi? i think i am going this year. raptor and all. yesterday in houston after 3 o clock it was perfect. the trailer was still loaded, so off i went. i stayed at the field till dark. there was only prop jobs at scobee field. so every time i fired up the jet everyone landed and i had the air to myself. sweeet. also, consider bomber fields anysize warbird event in the beginning of june. that little cutlass would be great. barry

Even though I was not able to stay until the weather cleared on Saturday I'd like to thank the Austin club for a fun Friday. Next year I’ll have to make plans to stay through out the whole weekend. As usual it was good to see everyone and catch up a bit.

For those of you who saw my Reaper flight, I had an exciting flight on Friday after I forgot to check the switch position on my TX that mixed in ailerons with canards. The short flight was done with canards only and I’m happy that I got it down without any damage except for my tires coming off the rims. On Sunday I went out to my club field and got 2 flights in without any problems.

Hey Barry,

We are planning on Mississippi, I just need to get Ronnie to commit. You guys need to rag on him a little. I keep telling him, " that's not far, Maine is far.".

I finally figures out the probloem with the Falcon, Wrong CG point!! I emasuerd 8.25" from the TE of the aileron, it should have been from the TE of the wing, LE of the aileron.

I'll try again this Sunday.

David,

Clearly your airplane was tail heavy, any number of people that saw it fly could tell you that. That being said, in my experiance a manufactuer never gives a CG point from the Trailing Edge of anything. You may want to reconsider what you've posted or who told you the correct CG.

The correct CG was posted by Lucian (from Rumania). He posted a picture with the dimensions taken from the LE of the aileron 8.25 fwd and YellowAircraft replied that it was correct.

I'll see if I can find it.

Good thing that I reinforced the fuselage completely with hemp.
The best thing is the fumes created when you add the resin.[&o][&o]

I'll invite you guys next time Im glassing.

Interesting, never seen it like that before, but if they say it is good, it is good. Just from the picture, it looks about right based on other swept wing aircraft FWIW.
