Ok guys, I've had to step in again and remove some posts from members that feel they have an open license to bash Jet Joe turbines. For those members I will simply state that this isn't the place for that type of post. If you don't like this product that is perfectly fine, go to another thread to post those issues. This thread is for Jet Joe owners to discuss their turbines with each other. For those that like to bash this product I would put forth that  you probably wouldn't like somebody coming into a thread of yours and start to bash what you choose to use., so let's apply that here as these owners don't appreciate it either. So if you only want to bash this product, let's move on down the line and find some place else to discuss it.<div>
</div><div>As this is not the first warning I've had to put out here in this thread I guess I'm going to have to back that up with a little more that a simple suggestion. It's not something that I would prefer to do, however some members have left me little choice. So for any member that wants to come in here and bash Jet Joe even after my warnings those members will be placed on Moderated Status. I do hope that it doesn't come to this, but please know that  I will not hesitate to take such actions for those that choose to ignore my warnings. </div><div>

At safe mode go to Start/Programs/Accesories/sSystem Tools/ System Restore, then pick a date on the calendar before the virus thing happened click next, then yes and let it do its thing. When it reboots it will tell you system restored to blah blah date and it should be fine.

Smithy - just to double-check - I can run my JJ-3000 on pump grade Diesel, yah?

I'm figuring on running a mix of 1lt blue kero to 3lt petrol-station standard diesel - just to thin the mix out a bit. Does that sound half-reasonable? Still only running on the test-bench ATM - the Jet-A1 I'm slowly 'collecting' is for much later on.

Your thoughts??

Just bought a used full auto start JJ1400 here on RCU, except for some tubing and festo fittings it is complete execpt for the on-board propane tank. What does everyone use? On another thread someone posted a pic of his test stand setup and the tank looks like a robart retract tank.

Yes you are correct just copy the set up he has and use a one way Festo check valve to fill the tank.

The tank is not necessary and unless you are familiar with turbines you will have a lot more trouble getting it to start as the gas is much more temperamental.

Until you come competent with running the turbine just connect the gas line to your gas can via a check valve

ok so i have not had a chance to get back to my 1400 since the ECU issue. basically its frying glow plugs in a huge way. when the moniter says "glow test" it blows the plug out. I have the skills to solder however I have no idea whick MOSFET might be gone as i see nothing burned out on the board anywhere.

so now im kinda wondering about replacing the ECU. does anyone know what I can expect to pay for a new Regal? i emailed Gabe however he seems to be really busy and I have not heard back from him other than forwarding my email on.

what would you guys do?

I would not spemd my money on another otdated ECU like the one you have. Go to www.xicoy.com and use that fadec, it is the same one that many of todays turbines use.

Take a picture of the board (both sides) and we might be able to tell you which mosfet.

If you are going to get another, just get one from Gasper.

....if he'll sell you one. I heard that some places won't sell to you if they know are going to put their product on a JJ...

It is just telling you it is in auto mode.

It is probably because you have either too much (normal problem) or too little gas. Start of first with very little gas, big mistake most make is too much gas.
