Adil.

The picture is of an E model nose. I thought you had the C model nose? [:-]

i don't think Adil is planing on any competitions with this plane, and is going more for the "neat" factor .... no big deal if the version might be off ..

There are so many color schemes! I think i will go with the Blue Angels! I always fancy them! I wanted to do my Y/A F18 in Blue Angel but ended up in camo. Maybe this is a good choice. Do not know about visibility, but it is large enough to see.

Voy, neat factor indeed. Not sure how I'd approach that scheme, maybe flight metal the whole plane then paint. The blue really POPS on that scheme probably because of the aluminum underneath. Your friend Chip knows all about getting this result I am sure.

David, I can just barely tell the nose differences, if it the roundness or length? What the difference because of the avionics that they carried? I can't wait to see what you would do with this one. Power? David the Rhino?~)

Joe

The original C model was not equipped with a cannon, it had only air to air missiles for combat. The E model has an extended barrel cannon in the pod beneath the nose as well as a longer nose. The front nose gear door on the C mosel is flat whereas the E model front door is contoured to match the gun housing.

After closer inspection, it looks like Adil's paint scheme i s a later RF4C model, which has a slimmer nose than the original C which was quite fat and stubby looking. I'll find a picture of one for comparison and post.

Absolutelly agree with you Raf.... If you get an F-4, plus the test flight in Hawaii that is an unbeatable combo package...

Hello George,

In South Africa we call it A.I.D.S! Aviation Induced Devorce Syndrome...

Maybe one day soon you will have your F4!
