As a buyer I think PayPal is the best way to use my creditcard & beat the compitition to the punch, while having some type of protection.
As a seller I will honor a PayPal payment as much as cash to consemate a deal, just nothing ships until it reaches my account.
My current buyer & any intellegent rational person should have no problem with that.
Now I just have to find out why it has been 4 business days & its still not in my account.

Hey David
Just figured I'd post a pic of your starfires current status.

I also would like to thankyou so much for being so understanding & promise it ships the day (& not a day later) funds reach my account.
Thankyou, Jermaine

Default Payment

This has worked well for me in the past. I ask the buyer to send a certified bank check for the amount via US Mail, registered and return receipt requested. The seller now has my signature that I have received his money. (If I dont deliver he can use the post office fraud guys to investigate me.) I ship the sold goods and provide him with the shipping info. I track the shipment via UPS/Fedex etc over the web. I know when it was delivered. When the buyer contacts me that the goods were delivered and are acceptable to him I then cash the check. Never had any problems doing it this way and never had anyone not agree to it.

Don't count on the us post office, b/c when I got screwed, the only thing they could do was send the guy a couple of nasty letters. He threw them in the trash, and they sent me a letter telling me to take it up in court, via the legal system.
From LA to TN, yeah right, thats there job.

The guy even went as far as sending a refund in Monopoly money, and the post office had a copy of the certified letter and its contents, they didn't do squat!

You have to watch paypal. Once the money clears, transfer it immediately to your bank account. If the receiver says the never received the merchandise, paypal can take any funds out of you account that you have, all on the receivers word. It happened to me. I now take all my money and transfer it immediately to my bank account. They can't take it out of there without my consent.

By the way...bank checks and money orders can both be stopped, too, so the same applies. Don't ship until the money is in your account, if you have any doubts.

Passenger Pigeons are also unsafe. Any scammer who is into falconry could easily take out your pigeon...

aerografixs,
In reading the dialog between you and EASYTIGER, I am wondering how can a respected businessman with a business where most if not all of his customers were developed through contacts on the internet can be outsold by an individual. I notice that EASYTIGER does not allow anyone to have a clue of his origins. Maybe this is as it should be for all concerned. Too bad we cannot filter out some of the less constructive posts on this system!

I don't understand what you are saying in your post. Maybe you are just looking to make trouble?
I am certainly not in competition with Aerografix, we sell totally different stuff. As a matter of fact, I am not in competition with ANYBODY. But I do have some ten thousand(really) transactions under my belt here on the internet, and if the experiences I have had, both positive and negative, can be of help to someone, then great.

Posting at the same time! See...I have nothing at all against Aerographics, I like the stuff he makes, and I sure do not see him as competition in any way at all.
Geistware, if you want to participate, great, if you are just looking to create conflict, there's the door over there. It leads to the Clubhouse and AMA Issues Forums!

Hey Look leave David Ried out of this, There are no redneck Jew boys, anyway!

And for the uninformed, its Cajuns not redneck (we live in a non-redneck area), we live in the swamp, not the sticks!

And Woketboy is a true jew boy, Sheenie for short!
