I'm looking at picking up a hotspot kit from a local Jet Flyer
From searches I've done on buliding the hotspot the instructions I want are from Bob Wilcox..
Does anyone have them on file and could you send them to my email.... if so I'll pm you with my email address
also what robart gear is right for the hotspot? and which BVM wheels
thanks guys
Ron

No Problem, glad I could help (just playing it forward) I have the original Graupner instructions at home (I'm at work right now) I can look at them and see if they have any drawings, they are somewhat vague.
I'll let you know or I can take some pictures, I sort of followed the instructions for the inside then did my own thing, it's not too diffrent.

Thanks man. Im not really wanting to copy the formers that are already in the plane as these are the previous owners own attempt and i must say is a poor one at that ! hence why im on the look out for some former drawings. The instructions that you sent me have the speed brake templates etcs there so i can now proceed with that and get them CNC cut untill i find formers.
This thing was a dong and is now starting to look very tidy. All wings striped of covering and awaiting new covering and hinges fins stripped and awaiting covering fus bodywork all sanded back ready for primeing. just formers to do now and its all systems go apart from radio install and air components

Depending on the powerplant (ie, if you're planning to overpower it!
) and how heavy a thumb you fly with, you might want to put some additional attention to the fin and wing fastening area. Many have modified the kit such that the wings are bolted through the fins and into the fuse. Sandwitching the fins between the wings and fuse creates a near bulletproof connection and will limit the chance of your fins fluttering at high speed.
I went a step further and bolted the fins to the fuse, then the wings through the fins, and into the fuse. I didn't like the look of the bolt holes in the top of the wing surface, so I built it to take the bolts from the underside of the fuse. Its very stiff and I'm quite happy with the results. I've got some photos I can email you if interested, if so, PM me with your address.

Caliber,
Petere Liebetrau still supplies some of the formers and stuff, simply send him an email. He is a genuine bloke, and can help. I just found the stuff from Bob via Ben and with some additional stuff from Kelly, which I am happy to send if you PM me your email.
Cheers Gazzer "man"!!!
