Hallo, dear jet friends !
My team and me are already preparing the JetPower Fair 2006 !!!!
Would be nice to meet a lot of people from all over the world in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in Germany.
Here are some more information for you:
Information for exhibitors
JetPower 2006 will take place from 15 to 17 September 2006, and the event is already looming on the horizon; certainly the JetPower team is already hard at work on the preparations. Demand for stand space has risen again, and this year the exhibition tent will be even larger. For this reason it is very important that you reserve your stand space as early as possible: the registration form can be downloaded from the website (www.jetpower-messe.de). Some exhibitors have already registered with Winfried Ohlgart by e-mail before the form was available, and we request them also to fill in the official registration form and return it to us.
When we receive your registration you will receive confirmation and an invoice from us, sent from the publisher. Your stand is not reserved until you have paid your invoice in full.
In response to many requests, this year we are making beer table sets available to exhibitors at a hire price of 10 Euro. As these sets (1 table, 2 benches) have to be procured beforehand, it is essential that you order them when you register; it will not be possible to hire the sets on-site. You are entitled to cancel your registration up to 15 August 2006. If you do this, we will charge a processing fee of 10% of the invoice total. If you cancel after 15 August 2006 or fail to appear, the full invoice amount will be retained.
In terms of prices nothing has changed compared to last year. As before, you pay 50 Euro per running metre of front, 30 Euro for the night-flying display, plus optional hire costs for the beer table sets. All these figures, naturally, are plus VAT.
For this you receive your reserved stand area with two side walls and a power socket. No charge is made for current consumed. Camping facilities are also free to exhibitors.
We were pleased last year with the service provided by the catering firm Schuch, and the company will again be keeping body and soul together this year. Of course, the JetPower canteen will again be set up in the small hangar, as will the Kerosene Bar. As before, exhibitors and campers will be able buy breakfast there for 3 Euro, starting on Wednesday, 13 September 2006.
Information for spectators
Once again JetPower 2006 offers you the total model jet flying experience. This year’s event will be held from 15 to 17 September at the Bengener Heide airfield at Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, where the world’s finest jet pilots will fly every day for you from 10:00 to 18:00. This year the Fair tent will be 100 metres long, and in it you will find the leading manufacturers of model jets, turbines and accessories. It’s a great place for gathering information and - of course - for buying exactly what you want. The many food and snack stands and a beer garden invite you to linger a while, while your little ones will be well looked after at the crèche.
This time around the great night-flying display will be held one hour earlier at 21:00 on the Saturday evening, and on this day the exhibition tent will remain open until 20:00. The Nightfirebirds and Robert Sixt will provide sensational firework flights in the darkness - a unique experience which you really should not miss.
This year we are also delighted to welcome “JetPower-Art”, an exhibition by German artists with JetPower as the common theme. The idea was dreamed up by Frau Korb, a balloon pilot known far beyond the borders of Germany, and she has managed to interest more than thirty artists in the project. The works of art will be available for purchase, and we plan to display them in the small aircraft hangar (the metal building adjacent to the camp site). This combination of Fair and art exhibition is a unique innovation, and we are very excited to see the response of the exhibitors and visitors.
There are 120 camping places available on the airfield, but please be sure to reserve yours as early as possible. (e-mail: [email protected] or by fax: [0049] 2226-7097). Power sockets, toilets and showers are available for campers.
The camp site costs 10 Euro per day, plus a weekend entry ticket of 12.00 Euro per person.
Additional prices:
Day ticket, adult: 5.00 Euro
Day ticket, concession (child, armed forces, student, handicapped): 3.00 Euro
Weekend ticket (to buy on Friday only): 12.00 Euro
Weekend ticket, concessions: 9.00 Euro
Night-flying display: 3.00 Euro
The JetPower team is looking forward to seeing you!

Guys
From an Exhibitors and spectators perspective this is one of the best shows for Turbine power. Aeroplanes, thrust and prop, plus helicopters all flown on a perfect flying site with beauiful views over a valley.
If any of the US guys would like to travel I think you would be blown away, no race course flying needed here as they are all demo spots.
Winnie runs a friendly show with great humour, its a must for the Motors & Rotors team each year.
I look forward to another successful year and meeting old and new friends

It's a must-do event for us too, we have attended every year since it started. All the jet-related manufacturers are there with the very latest in planes, turbine helicopters and engines. It's the only place in the world where you can compare almost all the models and engines side-by-side, watch them fly, and talk to the manufacturers in person.
Winnie is to be commended for the effort he and his team put in to organise this show. It's been getting bigger and better every year and we look forward to this September

The only concern as spectator, when visiting the Jet Power, is to have enough allowance on your Credit card!!
The best of the best is there... almost all turbine manufacturer and plane builder...so you can really compare prices, sizes and quality..
and have a chat (as well a cake...) with the people that normally you see on the papers...
alessio "was there as spectator in 2005"..

Anyone planning to go from the US, it would probably be a good idea to buy/convert your budget to Euro's NOW! The Dollar's lost 10% relative to the Euro in the last 30 days! I ordered a kit from Germany on April 10th, the Dollar rate was .83. By the time the kit was ready to ship 5/1 and I wired the funds the rate was down to .76 and falling![:@] Will most likely be a lot worse by fall. FYI

Heatseeker,
Try them, I know guys with other airlines have had success, worst case they would say no, but given the ludicrously cheap cost, it may well be worth flying and paying them some extra money!!

Heatseeker,
I'm not sure why you would want to take models to JetPower unless you were flying on behalf of a manufacturer. There is no public flying, and there are so many manufacturers attending that the flying has to be strictly controlled with only about 15 minutes per day available for each company.
