Does anyone know how far the airfield is from the town? Is there public or a courtesy bus running?
Any advise on hotels?

Can't answer your question on public transport but the guy from this hotel, Thomas Esser was really helpful, but its where Treadstone is staying so you might want to avoid him (oh and me by the way!!!)

Gazzer and myself have Hired a Car for the w/end so we can give you guys a ride to and from the airfield...We chose something that best reflected our status in life..

... I know its ony a two door job but at least we wont have any models to transport arround ...

The aerial photo shows that the flying site is not far from town ..... what it doesn't show is that the distance between the two is not horizontal, it's almost vertical! There is a long winding road up the hill through the vineyards ....
