There is also the matter of my T&E expenses, my Gulfstream uses quite a bit of fuel at the throttle settings my personal pilots have to use to get me to all the meets and such where I am wanted, it's not SERIOUS money, but it adds up.

BV got his start in pylon racing- So he is getting into the recip market-It makes good sense. No matter where it is made, Bobs stuff is good and if you follow the instructions it will fly first time. He does his homework. Have you ever thought that BV might OWN this factory this time? You never know. Scott

I'm fairly sure BV doesn't own it unless he bought the factory and then asked Comp-ARF to produce the Composite Bobcats? Not sure he'd do that
The Xtreme Composites Edge is not new - it has been out for well over a year now - maybe two.

And I doubt we will ever really know the truth. But take all the stuff you read(even mine) with a grain of salt.

Same thing I had heard. IF it's true it goes to show that in this business/hobby nobody is 100% ethical or honest and you really need to be careful coming on these forums laying into the 'enemy' because one side or other is your buddy or preferred supplier!! Unless you know the complete story first hand then just watch from the wings and let things unfold themselves.
As they say, the truth will always come out in the end....

FWIW, BV is not the only Jet manufacturer moving towards prop. I know of another jet manufacturer that I respect very dearly that has been working on A BIG……I MEAN BIG prop project.
If it makes good business sense, why not do it. There is nothing wrong with expanding your business.
Knowing the way the old man operates, check back within the next year at major prop airplane events and he will dominating the scene.

I can only disagree on one point. The truth does NOT neccessarily come out in the end. Sometimes it's just a matter of history being written by the victors, or who shouts the loudest and more often. There have been a few things here where I REALLY wanted to say something, something I knew that would change what everybody "knew" about a subject, and I had to bite my tongue, because someone told me something in confidence, and I could not break that confidence.
This is not one of those instances, though, I don't have any real inside track on the whole story here.

If this was an actual BVM design, an exclusive, I think it would be more warmly recieved all around.

Got to agree to your last post about BV not developing his own prop job, even if you are a fugitive from justice!

Hey, how come no lynch mob for Vertical Hobbies? He must feel left out...
I have to say, it would probably have been smarter if BV had just ordered a batch with purple paint and BV logos. It would have been enough to say it's a dedicated BV product, then. I can understand selling the name, no problem, but selling it so cheap?

hey, to add to the rumor mill, one I have heard get around lately is that BVM is or will soon be up for sale, $5mil seems to be the figure I have heard passed around in these rumors ... again, these are just rumors, and I personally do not buy into it ..

I recon its a simple case of BV first getting another company other than comp arf to make the Arf Bandit then because of that comp arf refusing to make any more bobcats and kingcats and keeping the molds. Mr V then sits there and trys to think of a way to damage comp arfs business as they have to him so he decides to sell the nearest thing he can to there prop stuff.
Anyway I don't really care as long as my Arf Bandit is there to pick in November!
Take it easy
