Default Plagiarism again!!

ET:

Now not only David R. but you are stealing my electric start pitch I thought I had copyrighted back in 1999!

By the way, I have a couple of Forrester .29/.35 ignition engines I will let you play with. They are sweet little motors, and will run forever on a gallon of gas!

I know, I know, real men use glow and electric start........

Tom

Adios guys and Happy New Year again.....Got to head home to Fond du lac, WI only 40 miles from the Front Door of the Mamba Kings.........too cold up here in Minneapolis....

Well, I think SWB's argument for the higher price was better quality in a side-by-side comparison. Like I said, when I saw it at F.J. last year, I was thoroughly impressed. It is VERY light and the machining tolerances are very tight. The lack of electric start probably falls under the "every ounce counts" rule, which I try to follow in all of my airplanes--marginal performance or not.
They have also built their own balancing mache that is extremely sensitive (which may be overkill, but ok), and does a phenomenal job and precision balancing--which ensures that your 100K will be smooth as silk every time. All in all, I don't doubt that it is worth a little more.
But my previous argument stands, and I won't consider buying one until they clean up their act.

Yeah, I hear ya, I have my set aside milk crates to haul out to the field. Ain`t no room for any stink`en air start gear. It seems everytime I load the Explorer there appears to be something "missing" but there isn`t?? yup its elec auto start all the way!!

Well it looks like you guys wont need to carry even the propane any more. Just arrived for test is a Baird Kerosene start engine, no propane required . Bench tests start next week. Full review coming in RCJI edition after the oner just finalised with Pegasus HP review.

Hi David,

Next Week? You must have way too many toys! I had my first 120-KS out of the box, bolted to the bench and the manual open to page 1 before the delivery truck had even pulled out of the drive way.

Speaking of toys, I got to drive a friends clubman racing cart over the Christmas break. Talk about fun. I think that might be another toy to add to the collection some time this year.

Regards,
Garrett

Hi David,

My sister and brother-in-law are currently back from London for Christmas and New Year trying to thaw out from the UK winter. I don't know how people live through the winter over there. By the sound of it, the long summer days make up for the cold, wet and very dark winter days.

I'm hoping to head over for a visit this coming UK summer.

Vin,

David has the BMT 120-KS for review. It's a 28lb class turbine. I won't clog the thread with details about another brand engine, so drop me an email if you want more details.

Regards,
Garrett
