Default MW54 Glow Setup Question

I just built my Wren MW54 kit with on-board starter (not full autostart). I need to set up the glow driver and wanted to see what the best setup was for it. This is my first turbine, so I don't have any prior experience with setting these up and the instruction/schematic only show a 2 volt glow battery with a switch used in the wiring. Can you give me some tips on the best way to set up the glow drive system on my jet?

Thanks!

Woody

Just set it up the same as a glow plane. You may have to use a remote if access to the engine is limited. No need to carry the extra battery weight on board.

as battery use a 2V dry cell, they last forever (when charged..).

as glow plug connection: it's depend your plane:
if the turbine is open, you can use a connector car style (plug), to install at the startup and remove when turbine running.

if the turbine is inside you can make your own wiring using a fixed connection to the plug, and the ground, black wire coming from the turbine.

you make a plug, and you can connect and disconnect the battery form the model

i use one industrial plug (4 way) and i connect the glow current and the starter with just one plug.
the glow battery has a switch, so i can connect the starter battery for the cool down without energizing the glowplug

Keep it simple.
I use standard phono plug male on twin core cable direct to 2Volt lead acid/gel battery kept on the ground, plugs into phono female situated at a convenient point on airframe.
Negative lead connected direct to a screw head on turbine mount, posative lead to a small croc clip onto top pin of glow plug.
If you can get at glow plug easily, use standard glow clip.

Use your glow engine glow plug drive. Works very well. I use it on my manual starts WREN 44s. Dubro and other suppliers have a complete kit or you can make your own.

Thanks guys. I will have good access to the glow plug through a large hatch during startup, so I will just use my regular rechargeable gas plane glow driver and keep it simple and cheap. Thanks for the feedback.
