I did the same aswell just order a set of air power 250 retract before the sale end ,the quarlity seem to be very nice and the price is resonable

Looks good, I have the same Behotec retracts ,brakes and wheels on mine. Just waiting for a few more things to arrive from Peter at Altrcare and it should be ready to go. Peter now has a retract package for the Falcon 120 up on the website.

How do the Air Power disk brakes compare to the o ring type brakes. I just checked on shipping for a set of wheels and beakes for my Falcon Friday and do like they way they look but never seen any work..Thanks Todd

Wow, Don't know how I could have missed this aircraft...After reading the posts I'm considering getting one myself. I've had a couple of boomerangs and from what I see, this is a heck of a lot less money than a boomerang.....Curious how the turbine affects CG....Looking into the P-60 SE for power... thanks for the info..keep it coming!!

Its a OS 91 D/F with a 45 degree hearder and a Byron pipe APC 11x7 need to go 11x8 or 9. It use to have a Byron fan . Both fan and the prop have good power.

Well im putting a secret out for Falcon 120 owners !!
2 of my good buddies bought the Airpower RA-250 retracts for the Falcon but were disappointed that the supplied 5mm wire LG was so soft, they bend back from even the softest landing (very soft metal). otherwise the 250 retracts are really nice !
So we scratched our heads to try and find them COST EFFECTIVE struts (since cost effectiveness is what the Falcon is all about! and besides, its hard finding Robart struts in stock!) and found this:

We didnt really know what to expect (cheap Chinese struts) but we bought a couple to play with.
When we got them i noted these might actually be a direct fit for 5mm wire retract bases and non-brake wheels, but since these guys had the Airpower wheels with brakes, and the RA-250 which fit 7/16" struts - we had to adopt them slightly with the help of Shmulik our CNC master friend, and a little work on the mahcine, but the end result is very cheap, and very rewarding !
What we had to do was remove the bottom "horizontal" wheel pin, and make a new "vertical" pin to accept the Airpower 90 degree wheel elbow mount, and on the top remove the 5mm pin, and machine a 7/16" round piece te replace it. not a lot of work if you have a mill.
Im adding pics of the struts, before the mods (first pic), after the mods (second pic), and installed in the Falcon 120. not bad for a 11$ strut !
Overall, with the RA-250 retracts, the HC modified struts and the Airpower wheels with brakes, this is a very nice, extremely cost effective set, which suits the Falcon 120 quite well.
Time will tell if the springs in the struts arent too soft, im not too worried since they could always be replaced easily.

I hoped you did a nice hack with the unitedhobbies struts as well. I'm gonna try to make a nose-strut mod with one of them. I ordered three. With my luck, they'll probably be here before the kit of the falcon arrives [>:] waiting for some time now, gonna give modellbau pollack a call this afternoon...

There is plenty of mounting block to allow this without compromise.
Im going to vac form a new wheel well cover in good time.
The existing wheel well still fits - ive just butchered mine and they all split.

Has anyone yet used a P80, I know a P70 or P60 would suit better but i have a p80 looking for a new home, There was talk further back in this thread of someone going to use one, but never heard anymore.

I will be putting one in 2 weeks or so when I get the p-80 from a friend of mine.I am just about finished with all the mods I made to mine with robart gear putting all servos inside wings,rudders and elevator also repainting the bottom of the fuse and remonokoting the bottom of the wing and stab.Will post some pics soon..Todd
