Hi All
I have the Y/A F-16C Kit, but I am in need of some help. I need someone to give me a price estimated on the additional parts that I am missing to complete my Kit. I also need some directions to where I can buy these parts.
The parts missing can be seen in the attached file.. I am going for the Spring Air solution for the retracts.
Hope Someone can Help me.

Hi. First of all, the parts outlined on your list are very basic misc. parts which you should be able to obtain from any local hobby shop. I strongly feel however, that you are making a big mistake with your choice of gear. You have the Y/A F16 "C" model, which can accommodate the scale main gear assembly that Y/A sells for this model. The aluminum (and very light) main gear folds right up into the fuselage just like the full scale Falcon. I too have that model, but I have the "A" model, which can not use the scale gear set up, unless this has been fixed with the newer kits as mine is about 7 or 8 years old or so. Anyways, good luck. If there's anything else I can help you with, let me know.

Hi tomcatman
Thanks for your reply. The thing is that I am quite new to all this and there isn’t that many shops in Denmark, that has the things that I need. Do you know of any online shops that sells the parts I need, or do you have a price estimated for the parts..

Hi Jesper. Sorry about that, didn't realize you are in Denmark. One of the most extensive supplies list i've seen yet is from Dubro www.dubro.com . I also purchase many such misc. parts from our own local hobby shop www.brucknerhobbies.com . I'm sure that between these two locations, you'll find all those little accessories you need to complete your kit. Should you come accross any hard-to-find items, let me know. I'm sure i'll find a solution for you. Personally, i've always found those lists of "needed add'l hardware" to be a little overkill. So don't go crazy acquiring EVERY SINGLE ITEM listed there. If you've built anything in the past, chances are, you have some of them already. Take the time to familiarize yourself with the kit and it's construction so you can determine what you really need and what you can improvize with. Otherwise, you'll find yourself with many extra parts (which is really not a bad thing) when you've completed your kit and you'll find yourself wondering if you missed anything!!! HAHA... If you have access to any current RC magazines, check out towards the back cover, the advertisers index. You'll find many manufacturers and dealers from which you can purchase these misc. items. Take care and keep me posted on your project.

By the way: What is Nyrod???, In the manual it says that i need a 18" Nyrod...
Once again thanks for the links, I have already found most of my missing parts.
I have posted som epics of my kit here:

Ebay? ok. I couldn't tell from the pics how old the kit is but if it's one the older ones, there is one modification you may want to consider. The glass inner walls of the air intake tend to buckle in a lot (flex) at high speeds. You may want to consider gluing a small diameter dowel or piece of lite ply between the upper and lower inner walls of the intake to help eliminate this problem. So, if you were looking straight into the air intake, you'd have a piece of wood mounted vertically, joining the top and bottom of the air intake. Just a thought. With regards to the 18"NYROD, my guess is that they suggest you use a nylon rod possibly for your steering linkage to your nose wheel. Check your instruction manual to see where this NYROD is used. Basically, it's a piece of plastic like material within an outer plastic like sleeve that you'd glue in place. Clevises would attach to the ends of the inner rod to attach to your servo and whatever mechanism you're gonna use it for. Personally, I prefer a pull-pull system which uses plastic coated fishing wire. Let me know where the manual indicates to use this nyrod and i'll point you in the right direction. You can also consult Shaun Evans of Yellow Aircraft. He's very cool and most knowledgeable with the Y/A kits. You can also reach him at [email protected]. Keep me posted. Have a good one. Richie

The retracts, ok. It's a one piece all aluminum scale main gear system, VERY NICE. Try shaun evans or try Y/A www.yellowaircraft.com. Good luck.
PS...I just looked into the Y/A website. Click on Jet models, click on F16C then click on landing gear and get a good look at what i'm talking about. You can't go wrong with these.

Hey Jesper...
Why dont you try and write in the danish rc-unionen.dk jet forum.
I have some pictures of my YA F-16A in there too.

There`s lots of help to get there. Most of the jet guys in Denmark hang out there.
