Speaking of Sign-Guy.............did you maiden your FEJ yet?

I'd like to watch you fly it if it happens before next weekend.....PM me and let me know. If nothing else I'd take a trip out to your house to see the jet in person just to see the quality. I'd even bring my JL F-16 so we can compare

Should be ready for the maiden next weekend (I hope ) I need to get some air under the wings before Montana Jets in mid July. I'll give you a call and you can swing by over the weekend and take a look if you like

Hey guy's.
FEJ came through trumps!!
They emailed me this evening to let me know the ney bellcranks have been sent to me!
Man that is exellent customer service. You don't get this sort of service from any of the others. I certainly do not have a problem paying what is still quite a low price for their jets if i benefit with this sort of service.

Has any dealers or anyone had jets arrive without landing gear?

i asked about buying one of their first F-16s without the gear because i had a set and they wouldn't sell one that way.

FWIW, i got the newest updated scale gear to replace the one that came with my Advanced F-16, the new one is MUCH better, absolutely no slop in the wheel linkages and the air cylinders are much improved.

The bellcranks with the correct offset for the new ally shaft elevators arrived today from FEJ.
The whole process from my original email to Eaglejets to having the part in my hand was less than 1 week.
Also at no cost to me.
Simply amazing!
I think other manufacturers need to wake up and smell the roses, ordered a comp-arf eurosport 8 weeks ago after promising it would take 8 weeks, i now learn i won't see it for another 6!!

I told you guys... They have done that three times for me in the build of my F-15... Their after-sale support is excellent!

hi all, got the same problem with the new elevators and fit the originals back....fej told me yesterday that they have already ship the correct bellcranks to rectify this...excellent cust.serv once again.

now i do have a small problem with a jetronic single valve (the new one with nipples from dreamworksrc)that i use for brakes , when i activate it my wheels although i have 100 psi from a dedicated air tank still rotate when i force them a bit.
anybody have same valve that have same problem or can advice how to make it work better?

thanks

Hi Lookilok

This is normal even at that pressure. You don't want your wheels to lock, just want them to slow down the airplane without getting square or damage the tires

Good luck

I see their IAF F-16 and all I can say is you couldn't possibly get me to paint that model in IAF camo for $1800. And I don't even paint that well.
$1800 is slightly more than Cermark's and slightly less than JL and Tam, but all the pian in the butt stuff is already done for you.

If you think about it, it's only slightly more than the retract set for the Bandit, ang you get a whole bunch of airplane.

It's a good deal guys. Unless their quality is questionable, it's a deal pretty tuff to beat.

Hi Chris

It flew very nicely.

140 mm CG was spot on !

its was heavy with the P-80 in it but once its in the air it feels great.

You will love yours.

... I've pre-ordered the L-39 (1/7) for the promotion price and will start a FEJ L-39 (1/7) building thread as soon as my 'Albatross' has been landed!
I like the Camouflage design, but they told me other color schemes will become available soon.

I had this same problem with two S. Master F-18 stabilators. The flat side in the shaft came inverted.
I swap the left for the right and vice. The color was about the same both sides so the paint scheme wasn't affected.
I'm agree that some of us have to post the message to them. Something is happening in the manufacturing process they both, S.M. & Fly Eagle have to fix.

Paul,

Get yourself a can of silicone spray lubricant. Carefully spray some into a cup. Attach a short piece of hose to the cylinder nipple closest to the shaft, extend the shaft, put the end of the hose into the liquid and push in the shaft to draw some liquid into the cylinder. Let the liquid sit in the cylinder overnight then exercise it a few times. The silicone causes the o-rings to swell and seal better.

My FEJ cylinders leaked where the shaft exits the cylinder. The above did the trick and they now hold air just fine. I also put some silicone lube in my retract cylinders for insurance.

Joe, I will give it a try. My raf is ready to maiden, I am just a bit concerned about the loss of air from the gear door rams. Last thing I want is a belly landing.

mate I have just got the f-16, and yes the failsafe system is good but I have bought 3 gear door cylinders to replace the ones kitted.

Peter Agnew of INTARICO here in Aussie supplied these to me they are alot stronger and not as flexible as the ones supplied.

I would try this first, there is nothing worse than relying on another system to get you out of the ****.

As with ARFs there is usually lot of problems associated with the construction and gear supplied but to my surprise I cannot find problems with this kit??????

I am yet to build mine and fly it but I am really looking forward to doing this.

regards to all

Todd
