G2 versions have a different lay-up (airex) and are significantly lighter than the G1. The U/C is also slightly redesigned, having improved damping, and more robust locking arms and it has more detail, as Scott says.
I've been flying a G2 version for about 21/2 years (same build as BVM PNP) and it's been great. I have the 1:5 scale now too...

G'day guys. Has anyone had any troubles with the gear doors pulling inwards in the air and not allowing the retracts going up. The front one is ok but the main ones get caught up. It's like the air cylinders haven't got enough strength to hold them out. I put 90/100psi

That's a symptom of the main gear door cylinders not being located correctly. They only work correctly at one spot. I did an F-16 gear door tutorial some time ago, if I find it I'll link it.
To summarize it you need a little bit more door travel authority, which is done by moving up the cylinder rod end at the door ever slightly, which will require some adjusting of the location of the cylinder at the fuselage bulkhead in order for the door to lock tight in the closed position. This is not difficult, just undesirable on a top end ARF.

You may also try to thread out the rod end for the door to open more, but often times this leads to the door not closing properly.

Be sure you didnt inflate the tires to much. They will do this if over inflated. The gear has been the most reliable gear I have had in any plane including sport jets.

If the doors are moving causing the gear to hang you may want to address that issue to fix this. Check your mounts for the air cylinders. If they are not flexing then you need a stronger cylinder to prevent them moving. I had this issue on my f-16 which had two problems first was the mounts which I fixed with some thin ply and then an alignment issue, if mounts and cylinders are not the problem check over all gear alignment or over tire inflation. The bulkhead was of a couple mm which would cause the hang if I put air in the tires.

Default V1 vs V2

Is the V2 fuselage a piece fuselage joined at the back of the cockpit area? Visually. How and you tell if it's V1 or V2? Thanks
