Update:
All wing servo installations worked out.
I did not like the Fox Comp method.
The instructions rely on you using wing servos.
Anyway, both servos fitted in port wing.
All linkages etc made for starboard so that will be complete very quickly tomorrow.
I will then b eon the fuselage.

Wings now fully servoed!
I am not putting the retracts or tanks in yet so …..on with the fuselage.
The instructions are a bit poor here.
Basically if you follow the instructions in order as written I think you would have problems!
The 1st thing you are told to do it to fit the nose ‘cone’, if you do that then fitting the intake ducting and the nose wheel well/mount would be a nightmare.
I enclose pics of what I have done, none of the parts are glued yet.
First get a good fit on the nose cone, be happy wih the alignment and the seam.
Remove the ‘cone’ and trial fit the nose wheel well/mount.
Ensure it fits flush to the nose floor and trim if needed.
Once this is done remove and fit the ducting.
Trial fit the ‘cone’ and cut/sand ducting fopr a good fit to the ‘cone’ without upsetting the ‘cone’ fit.
Remove ‘cone’ fit nose mount/well, now see if the ‘cone’ goes back on (it wont!).
To make it all fit you need to sand an arc in the front of the nose well/mount to clear the ducting. Once this is all done, the whole thing is really neat.

I am not a lover of beam mount, always find the steering a bit hit and miss.
Due to the nice bifurcated inlet duct I have decided not to use the beam mounted sprigair nose unit.
I have created a new former as shown on the photographs, allowing a bulkhead mount to be used. This places’ the nose leg slightly rearward of where it would normally be but the benefits are worth having in my opinion.
So, nose leg unit is in, nose cone fitted, I am going to keep the inlet ducts removable for access should I need it.

RE: FOX COMPOSITES SABRE F86 for Wren 44 build thread
Hello John, I am no longer the producer of the kts but someone else will be.
I have had to find another company to produce them as I have no work permit.
Even though my partner and I spent shed loads of money doing the moulds and testing stuff the authorities said I could not have a permit this year as I had not had enough income.
An "under the counter donation" would help matters but I had had enough and decided to let a local company do the work. I may consult a little of course? I must be careful what I say.
Working without a permit here is a crime worse than murder, or even riding with no helmet or using fake cd's and there is always a local or an ex employee with a grudge who will shop you to the immigration police, as a friend found out recently.
So the models will continue although it may take a few weeks for the handover to be fully up and running.

Hi Paul, can you still use the fibre wheel cover for the nosewheel or have you had to bin it?
Looking good.

I have to say this model is going together rather well and fast too!
Nose leg is now in, and fuel tanks are full of water having an overnight leak test.

The Sabre is going together very quickly….[8D]
Today saw the install of the wheel well. Taking the one supplied (used with beam mounts) I have modified and fitted as per pictures.

Tried to go flying today but the wind here was unreal! [&o]
Spent some time up the field but decided to spend an hour on the Sabre.
Engine and front end of tailpipe are now in!
At this rate I will test fly one day this week. [8D]

Final install underway.
Equipment tray.
First I made a fibre bracket to hold the tray and intake ducts forward and in place.
Pic 1 shows a small hardwood block glued into the wheel well.
Pic 2 shows the bracket.
Pic 3 screwed home.
