Iron Bay can and will make everything but the foam parts. I suppose you could make some wings for it.

I love the size and the way Byrons fly and I was too looking for a Byron Kfir. Just found one NIB. Good thing I bought it!

Trust me, after Soppy gets done with a plane, you do not want any part of it!!!! The word Jacked Up comes to mind.
All kidding aside, when he is done with it, it will be a killer plane.
Actually, I know the original builder of that plane. It was built by my dads friend back in the early 1980's. My dad built and actually finished a JHH A-4 at the same time.

Just for that, when I'm done painting that T-28 for you, you're going to think this guy painted it!

Bob, you will love this bird.I originally had a simjet 1200, that was accidentally set on the lowest output(about 8Lbs)and the airplane was very tail heavy, but the Kfir took off with athority and flew. After moving the CG almost 1'forward, the Kfir flew great.I think that a Wren 44 gold would be the ideal turbine for this airplane. It would be about 1 1/4Lbs lighter and you could use smaller tanks. There would be no lack of power with this setup.

Thanks for info Mark. I have the Grumania F-100 and it is a fantastic flyer on the Gold 44.
I think the Kfir is one of the most aggressive looking fighters ever built. I would actual model the F-21A in Aggressor colors.

Yeah, 72 megs is pretty big. Short of mailing a cd, I would suggest splitting up the pics into groups of 10-15 megs and then zipping each of those groups up individually. The would result in about 5-7 different zip files. Then, send each file in seperate emails. I think my email can handle up to 20 meg attachments. That would be worth a shot.

Hi Nofearakis
Your plane seems very very nice .... but all the Kfir are... .
What is going to power it?
Are you going to do it scale? (retracts, gear doors, etc)
more details please...

All the best

NOFEARAKIS,

The Kfir looks good! My guess is that you have the 42" foam wing. That would fit the about 40" wingspan you mentioned.

Hi! Yes, indeed it's foam inside the wings. So I guess the CG is 7" from the LE, correct?
You think I should have problem with the wings?

Hello Avi and Joe, how is the building coming along. When will the Kfir`s be ready to fly?
I've managed to get some work done, the wing is all repaired and re-glassed, now I need to glass the vertical stab. Going to try and get that done tonight I hope. Then all the fun stuff....Filling and Sanding[:'(]

Avi...for some reason I still can open your emails....

Hope to get some pictures of progress here soon!

Flight update: About three months ago I damaged my Kfir when I made an emergency landing in the thick wet New Jersey grass. When I walked over to get the Kfir,I was surprised that there was that much damage. The nose broke off, one of my main retract ripped out of the wing and my drop tanks were destroyed. After making the repairs, I got two flights on it this week and all I can say is wow! It flies as good as it did before the repairs and looks very scale in the air.
