Plans of DV8R

There were problems on some of the earlier kits with the wing incidence. With that fixed, it is a very nice flying airplane. I've actually got one hanging in my garage (if anyone is interested) and it has some real nice lines from certain angles.

Message I got from TBM today........first batch is expected in August (prototypes). If they like them they will sell them.
Cockpit kit was not currently available and they were not sure it will be done.
I want to say that gear were going to come from Sierra (don't qoute me on that one though).
Didn't ask if the wing was still going to be a one piece though.

actually we won't know what they have done........photos on TBM's website are original PCM photos. TBM has not got the prototypes in yet according to the email I got, so we don't know what changes, if any were made other than the scheme.

Guys hear is the deal.
TBM bought the rights for the DV8R from Pat McCurry. Pat brought us his drawings and we sent his drawings off to have the planes built. The only change is the wing will be a built up 2 piece wing and not Foam. Pat did the drawings for the built up wings. We should have the first two Prototypes in our hands in about 1 month. If They are up to our standards we will place the order for the planes. Now you have it straight from the source.

Bill, the color scheme illustrations on your website make the fuselage more rounded looking and I like that.
Is this a mere illusion or has a revision been made?

The DV8R is beeing made from Pat McCurrys drawings. If the fuse looks diffrent its the color scheme. Pat did the drawings for the built up wings so we are not worried about them. As soon as I get some of the construction photos I will post them on our site.

Hi friends, I have a pair of fuselages in construction, but the idea is cover they with foam and make a round shape for make molds, a fiber glass fuselage would be great, really is a very pretty plane, and very different to all.
