Ravill, could you confirm that it's a Jet Legend F18 painted ARF in Chippy Ho colors ?
I didn't find it in there catalog.
Confirmed, its a Jet Legend F-18C. I know my 18c's .

Maidened her yesterday. She was a little nose heavy with the extra 50cc tank in the nose, but other than that she was spectacular and a little draggy with the ordinance on.

Gotta love those hornets!!

Pics to follow!

Great looking hornet! Ive been thinking of getting that 18 from Mike Lin in the tiger meet scheme. I bought an JL f-16 ace in the hole from him and it looks great. What are you powering it with?

Hi Rich,

In case you need to get one, my painters will go on strike if you ask them to paint a big patch of "Yellow" on the wings. Thy said "just shoot me"

Mike,

Are you trying to make fun of my yellow?? Hmm???

Remember, I'm a pilot and I need to see my planes! I just don't let them sit in the pits so I can feel like the cool guy at the field!!

Rich, my hornets are all underpowered with jetcat titans. [&o]

Hi Mike, No need to worry about the yellow stripes... After all the plane is almost all orange

Underpowered with titans?!?! [sm=omg_smile.gif]

Those hornets need 2:1 thrust to do the high alpha stuff with authority.

I.e. Slow down, get the nose up, hit the smoke, pull out with the nose in the high alpha position.

I am a pilot too. this is a better way to see the plane and my plane has higher resale value after I remove the Orange tank.

2:1 = 1:10000 pieces after.

We want to see more airborne pictures of this Chippy Ho, please.

I'll be flying again next week, I'll make sure there are some flying pics taken!

I don't sell many jets, especially jet legend gems!!

Finally got the extra header tank.

I added some paint to the center tank and the wing drop tanks.

Installed the 2.4 system. Ready to get some more pics!

Raf,

Actually the bumble bee looks not bad. It grows on you. Good luck at Fresno.

can't wait to see it in person Raf, might have to do a little poking around inside your jet for build ideas, mine should be on the boat today according to Mike.[sm=wink_smile.gif]

I can answer that for you. My builder custom built Ravill's bumble bee and used lighter glue (hysol) and more carbon fiber instead of heavy plywood. The paint used are thinner and stronger PPG based paint so everything adds up and shaves a few pounds off his bees. That's even after adding all the gear doors, air cylinders, air brake, etc.
